You're forgetting that you can send people to any corner when you jump them... pretty sure I put that in the rules... but that doesn't really change much, and you're right, that's probably his best move...

But Mafi, instead of moving your own piece after you jump your own piece, you can send blue left one and then I'll send him up, and he'll be trapped for a bit :-p
