I shall be posting again soon, but for the moment, I would note briefly that it would be very much appreciated if my two posts on the previous page and their suggestions were not completely ignored ;)

[OOC] Why not? There are all kinds of side missions going on and another won't hurt. After all, we want this RP to continue on for awhile, right? I, personally, like the idea. I can only imagine what kind of big horrendous baddies could be imprisoned in hell. In fact, I want to design one of them! Pleeeease?  :D

Ya I'm all for it. This especially goes with my new attitude toward this RPG. I'll be having my character do whatever I want, and as long as it doesn't have a negative effect on anyone isn't godmodding, then I'll  be doing it.

Located at the very depths of the Abyss of Hell is a prison for monstrous demons whom were sealed away by Heaven in the defining war of the Elder Days (when Heaven was acceding to and beginning to experience its First Golden Age. The Treaty of Utarius, which delegated responsibility for their imprisonment and confinement to the authorities of Hell, was signed and the preservation of its integrity was guaranteed by the Middle Plane. There was a consensus that it would be in all parties' best interest to ensure that these abominable monstrosities never see the light of day again.) Should even one of its fiendish dwellers regain freedom to roam the world, it would be nothing less than an utterly unmitigated disaster, especially for the Middle Plane, which could be devastated.

With this historical context established, let us turn to the present situation. A particularly radical faction in Hell ultimately seeks the conquest of the Middle Plane and the destruction of Heaven, and they seek to partially achieve this end by releasing these monsters and unleashing them upon the world. As these extremists have managed to acquire more power than is healthy in Hell's internal politics, Heaven no longer trusts that the local authorities can properly solve the problem on their own. The Council, recognising the danger, overturns objections to intervention at this critical juncture and dispatches once more the Archangel of Justice to impose the will of Heaven, while working with Hell's "loyalists" to defuse the crisis.  Though Emparael and the Angelic Host are prepared to reinforce should matters get out of hand, the Council does not expect Catyrael to fail.

I am not yet certain as to the ideal moment in time to accommodate this chronologically, but anyone who expresses interest in a vacation to the Inferno, (undoubtedly the most touristic region of the World) will be welcome to join.
The Inferno? I assume that is the Fire based portion of Hell, whereas the Abyss is the Darkness based portion?
Hmm... :darkness Abyss, :death Tartarus, :entropy Pandemonium, :fire Inferno?

If we're going to have a trip to Hell, then by all means, yes. I think it would be rather nice for Jonathan to revisit his domain in his past life. In fact, would it be possible for Jonathan to take on multiples of those uberdemons at once, lose and die, and awaken as Devilord Bloodshadow (full Master form)?

Also, according to your history, the Treaty of Utarius must have been signed between authorities of Heaven, and the Supreme Archlord of Hell, who should be Bloodshadow at that time. Was that before or after the Masters were appointed by Zanzarino?

And does the Void have anything to do with this? Maybe, just maybe, we could have the heart of the Void sealed in this prison...

I'm already beginning to try and design those uberdemons. Maybe model them after the Seven Deadly Sins?

And right now, who is the current ruler of Hell? Satan? Lucifer?
To be or not to be, I can do both at once. Go learn quantum mechanics, n00b.

It would seem that everyone is enthusiastically anticipating my planned vacation to Hell. Simply splendid! Rest assured, it will be marvelous! ;)

Originally, I had simply employed the term "Inferno" as representing Hell in general, and as an allusion to Dante's "The Divine Comedy", but I like your structuring of Hell and its division into different portions, each with respective elements and distinctive features.

Further, if you wish to make the battle against the uberdemons Jonathan's coming-of-full-Masterhood challenge, it seems to be an appropriate moment for it and is fine with me.

Regarding the historical details, the signing of the Treaty of Utarius occurred before the appointment of the Masters and at the beginning of the First Golden Age of Heaven. It was one of three particularly special (but alas, relatively brief) periods of time when Heaven experienced a true era of splendour and prosperity. Simultaneously, there was well-governed peace on the Middle Plane while Heaven ruled over it, resolved any disputes, and also used its vast overarching power to protect the Middle Plane from any external threat. Unfortunately, it occurred in such a distant past that its memory is beginning to dull even in the minds of the Angels, and it is virtually altogether forgotten by the inhabitants of the Middle Plane, whom are uncertain as to whether that historical period may have been legend.

Concerning the presence of the heart of the Void, while it extends beyond my original intention for the prison of the uberdemons, if the majority support that addition, I shall not object.

As for Hell's current supreme figure, I had originally envisioned Belphegor; Lucifer and Satan being previous holders of that position.

Finally, the Seven Deadly Sins would be a befitting model and basis for the design of the uberdemons.

@Sirenes: On a related note, if you would like to participate in the designing, I encourage you to do so.

After the passing of many thousands of years, this eternal friendship of Heaven was rekindled at last!

Falindael stepped aside to allow Catyrael a few moments of relative privacy with his ancient friend, and the touching reunion almost brought some angelic tears to his eyes, though he had become jaded to the extent of being able to suppress them when he so desired.

Then for several enraptured minutes in the heavens above the violent calamity unfolding below, the Archangel of Justice listened to the concise summary of Xanriel's long tale and to all that had befallen the singer of Heaven's most beautiful songs.

"Lucius, the legendary Archangel of War himself? He was valiant to the uttermost, heroic, and yet just in his treatment of defeated enemies, and it was that final distinctive characteristic which exceptionally distinguished him and earned him the positive regard of many including myself, though it pleased most Lumaeliel, the Archangel of Mercy. It is tragic that he was never aware that she once loved him. There exists not a shadow of a doubt that the highest honour of Exalted status would have been bestowed upon him, were it not for his desertion and disappearance."

Seeing that Catyrael was on the verge of descending into a state of dreamy ponderousness, Falindael interposed, "If your objective is to produce offspring whom are certain, if not destined, to become Exalted Archangels, then you have chosen your love admirably well! After all, whom could be better than the daughter of Lucius? However, I must interrupt your fascinating discussion at this point to remind you that there is a massive ongoing battle beneath our feet, which we must do something about before most of those involved are dead."

"Unfortunately, old friend, time is not a commodity we possess in ample measure. For the present, Falindael is right; our first priorities concern the ending of that bloodshed in a manner as ideal as possible. Upon listening to your tale, it seems to me that effecting a ceasefire has become impractical; however, since Death is clearly the transgressing party and aggressor in this conflict, by my authority, I declare that Heaven shall intervene against it."

Upon briefly surveying the battlefield, he said,

"The forces of Death seem to be overstretched on their right flank as most of them seem to have concentrated to harass your Darkness friend, Jonathan. The Sword of Justice shall strike there where the hostiles are weakest. Xanriel, it is also practically convenient that we have crossed paths again, for I request that you assist us in the completion of our intervention. Rest assured, I shall impart everything that has occurred to my knowledge in Heaven and everything I have encountered when we are finished here."

Xanriel smiled to hear his old friend take charge. He always admired the way he balanced their friendship and professional obligations.

"Yes Si--" Xanriel stopped as a scene flashed before his eyes. He stood frozen a moment, then turned to the direction he had just come from, "Sirenes... she's in trouble. I don't know what it is, but something is attacking them. I need to protect her, she is my Ward, will you help me Sir?"

Each of his eighteen wings flapped at once, lifting him off the ground. He waited impatiently, his sword and shield already formed in his hands.
