OOC: I've read about 60% of previous posts before I came in and it was clear that since there was no DM or moderator, Bloodshadow dominates the ideas and whenever somebody disagrees, he refuses to budge most of the time until the discussion dies and the Bloodshadow lore stays. Blood, it is obvious that you are very protective of your own ideas. You have good ideas as any given the effort you put in. But what you are doing is being player and DM at the same time, which leaves little room for the other players' imagination. You might as well just write a book or series.

InC:

Okay, Tinkerbell time... maX took a long deep breath and sank his claws into the Elite's cloak fabric. The fabric wouldn't tear so he let Dex fasten his legs to Veneficus shoulder... as Dexter was uncoiling, MaX had a brilliant idea! He shrank the Forest Spectre into a chain sized vine and made himself into a pendant dangling on Veneficus neck.

"Pink on Black. Not bad." Veneficus thin lips curled up in a sneer but could do nothing for he was preparing his own spell.

As max's breathing evened out, his multi-faceted insect eyes started to glow. His breaths grew thinner and longer until it seemed that he wasn't breathing at all. Suddenly, without warning, his whole body glowed with a sparkling radiance that didn't spread outward, but inward. When the light covered his entire body, the insectile form turned into an amethyst pebble that didn't have a stable form, more fluid than solid but remained on the vampire's neck.

What's this? An echoing voice could be heard from all directions. Am I still... alive? MAX turned into pure Chaotic Force contained only by his consciousness.

I. AM. ENTROPY.

Er... Purity has agreed that Jonathan and Xanriel should fight Necrosis together, since Necrosis was created from parts of Johann and Exriel. I want Xanriel to be a part of this, because I want to see his OMGWTF reaction when Necrosis uses Exriel's signature spell "Metastasis Morti".

And when can Jonathan fight Emparael? If it's before Xanriel was captured, then Jonathan would have to lose (because otherwise he would not allow his friend Xanriel to be taken), and I don't like losing. Would it be possible to bring Emparael to Earth a second time?
Or... Xanriel could go willingly even after Emparael loses... Yeah, that could work too...
Perhaps I should have been completely explicit: when I wrote "you depart to fight Necrosis", I was indicating both Jonathan and Xanriel.

Further, I would not immediately assume that Jonathan has to lose if the duel occurs before Xanriel's capture. Remember, Emparael will be arriving with a substantial portion of the Angelic Host, who can simply apprehend the Master of Light while you are duelling.

In any event, I believe that Xanriel would have willingly allowed himself to be taken by the Heavenly authorities regardless.

Incidentally, I am particularly enjoying the wonderful potential of this epic (and yet, touching) encounter and its subsequent scenes.

Moreover, I have conceived of a relatively Catyrael-focused side quest, which should generally resemble the following:

Located at the very depths of the Abyss of Hell is a prison for monstrous demons whom were sealed away by Heaven in the defining war of the Elder Days (when Heaven was acceding to and beginning to experience its First Golden Age. The Treaty of Utarius, which delegated responsibility for their imprisonment and confinement to the authorities of Hell, was signed and the preservation of its integrity was guaranteed by the Middle Plane. There was a consensus that it would be in all parties' best interest to ensure that these abominable monstrosities never see the light of day again.) Should even one of its fiendish dwellers regain freedom to roam the world, it would be nothing less than an utterly unmitigated disaster, especially for the Middle Plane, which could be devastated.

With this historical context established, let us turn to the present situation. A particularly radical faction in Hell ultimately seeks the conquest of the Middle Plane and the destruction of Heaven, and they seek to partially achieve this end by releasing these monsters and unleashing them upon the world. As these extremists have managed to acquire more power than is healthy in Hell's internal politics, Heaven no longer trusts that the local authorities can properly solve the problem on their own. The Council, recognising the danger, overturns objections to intervention at this critical juncture and dispatches once more the Archangel of Justice to impose the will of Heaven, while working with Hell's "loyalists" to defuse the crisis.  Though Emparael and the Angelic Host are prepared to reinforce should matters get out of hand, the Council does not expect Catyrael to fail.

I am not yet certain as to the ideal moment in time to accommodate this chronologically, but anyone who expresses interest in a vacation to the Inferno, (undoubtedly the most touristic region of the World) will be welcome to join.

On a final point, congratulations for the double appointment as Forum Games Moderator and Event Organiser, Purity!

How ironic. This is EXACTLY what he is doing. ;) I think. He's writing a book, right?

Opti, I'm not exactly sure what's happening... can you write more? :P Sorry if I'm being slow, I just don't really understand. You can even finish this scene; I drag you around too much, anyways.

Xanriel was soon out of sight, having flown far off into the distance. The group members remaining on the ground were only too glad to continue on without him, walking on toward their distination of Necroplis.  Though she wanted to wait for him to return, Sirenes was unsure when exactly that would be and standing alone in the mists of the Death Lands didn't seem like a very good idea. Relectantly, she follows the rest of the party, keeping to the center of the group. After all, if something were to attack them it would be from either the front or the rear. It was the safest place to be.

The farther they got from him and the longer it took for him to return, the more she began to worry and feel uncomfortable, but she knew that he could in some way sense her emotions. Things were just fine and she didn't want to worry him over trivial things, so in an attempt to calm herself she began to hum an upbeat tune she had learned in her travels. As the song broke into the chorus, she started to sing the words aloud, but softly. The people around her began to glance her way, giving her odd looks, but she ignored them. If the didn't like her song they would just have to deal with it. After all, the plan was working and she was feeling cheerful again, giving them a smile when they looked. In fact, the grabbed the hands of a soldier nearby and tried to make him dance. The man sneered and pulled his hands away, glancing around nervously and adjusting his clothes. Sirenes just laughed and shrugged. I bet if mAx was here, he would dance with me.

But aren't we separated into tiny groups?

[OOC] Yes, we are.. and in the tiny group she's in, she's singing and dancing. She and Xanriel had broken off into a group together, Vax and Dorfl in another, Jonathan and Nyxia in one and Heimdall and Max in the final.

I would have made something more interesting happen, but if it did Xanriel would come to the rescue and I don't want to interrupt their little meeting just yet.  :P

Ok, but who else is in your group? Maybe you should just "disconnect" your connection with Xan for now  :P.

[OOC] At the moment, they're separated, but he has a connection to her that allows him to feel her emotions. So if she's in danger he's going to come back to protect her no matter which group she's in.

Also, he's going to be taken away soon, reguardless. So... yeah.

OOC: What if when the host arrives, Bloodshadow tries to 'protect' Xanriel and save him, and while that's happening, the rest of the host comes up to Xanriel and tells him he's under arrest, and he goes willingly, but the Archangel of War can't leave because he has been challenged.

Sorry about the Sirenes, you can do more if you want, I'm sure Xanriel would like to introduce you two anyway.

[OOC] I'm unsure if I should wait for Helios to post or not, but I think I will post anyway. He can hop in anytime.

Also, I should be getting my inernet back today, so I may be on to continue this later. If not, I apologize. Just don't get your hopes up, because Im not  :P

As Sirenes dances and sings, the party suddenly haults, forcing her to as well. She looks around, wondering why they had stopped. The air was uneasy and the vampires glanced about at the earthen walls of the narrow pass. Bits of dirty cumbled and shifted, breaking away from the wall. From the depths of the mountain a bandaged arm bursts free. A soldier lifted his sword and immediately removed it from it's source. A screeching came from beneath the soil and the remaining, flailing nub retreated back into the depths.

It seemed the vampires had noticed them coming long before the signs were clear enough for me to see or hear. The earth cracked and broke all around us, heavily wrapped limbs erupting outward, twitching and grabbing while the rest of their bodies freed themselves from their prisons. Drawing their weapons, the soldiers began to fight, chopping away appendages as quickly as they could before the creatures could completely break loose.

Before they knew it, the entire party was surrounded by mummies and a battle had ensued. Sirenes joined the fight, freezing limbs and liberating them from the rest. The mummies were slow and weaponless, unable to do much but clobber and restrain them, but now that the party had broken away from the others their numbers were much smaller and their small group was quickly becoming outnumbered.
