Actually, I have an honest question about that statement by Linkcat:

Why did you post that request after roles had been posted, rather than with your "In" post?

I like to keep discussion of the events of the game within the bounds of the game. You won't find any record of me saying anything like that before the game starts.

^ I can basically confirm the above, I know linkcat doesn't make any statements of that nature (or much at all aside from balance talk) before the start of the game (Despite it seeming more neutral if stated before :p)

I, on the other hand, am definitely not opposed to saying things before the game starts, as I'm sure you've seen by now. So I'll start by going with what I said I would do this game. KDZ is back to his "I support you" strategy. He did that last game and wasn't mafia. I think he could be trying to use that as a defense. My primary suspicion is on KDZ. Link is #2 because I also find that post suspicious, but mafia/Link can't be dumb enough to draw attention to themselves that early, right? In fact, I find it better as mafia to not post immediately when a game starts so that members of mafia can form a strategy, so that's why he's only #2. Everyone else that has posted is tied for #3, the rest of you are tied for #4.

I haven't read the rules since we voted on the game, so I'm gonna go do that now...

Making any kind of reads before reading the rules seems very scummy. My first read: Dema as my top scumread... scale of 1 to 100 (100 is assured to be mafia, 1 = me) he is now a 1.5.

The other thing is that I think we should have all robots declare if they are robots. Robots are less likely to be mafia (because the "big evil" can't be a robot). We should decide if we want to lynch the robots though. While lynching them means we are less likely to kill a mafia member than lynching non-robots, it means that we get to make the big evil's ability less powerful. It will also give some people the ability to know how their abilities will help us.

We should discuss that strat before we decide, I'm fine with either way.

Day 1 role claims such as this are generally a very dangerous strategy for civilians, right? However, considering mafia players do NOT know each other at this point Dema's idea here is quite interesting. Reading the rules against just now it struck me how powerful BIG EVIL's ability is given how many robots we've started with... at the first I am not outright opposed or for this idea - rather very curious to see what cons other's may come up with...

I don't think it's a great idea to try to lynch the "bad" roles. Check Mafia 58 for example.

EBWOP: Looks like special forces can't be robots either, which means!!!! Only 1 person in the mafia can be a robot, making it highly unlikely that any robots are mafia. I think my strategy is now much more viable. There is only a 29.4117647058823% chance that a mafia member is a robot. I think those are pretty good odds. We can take this risk, have all robots claim, and then not lynch them. It will make the ability of the BE worse for use, but we'll have a much better chance of killing a mafia (1/14 in day one instead of 1/19).

It may also help if all robots vote together, that way if BE uses his ability, we can see who he was trying to "save." It will also show us eliminate a lot of people from being BE, if they didn't vote for whoever BE caused to be lynched.

I'm liking this plan more and more; any thoughts?

I'm not opposed to it, that's just how I play. I made that post because I know that as much as people try not to overly deny people the joy of mafia, sometimes they forget. I would have made that post regardless of what role I was given. I have previously made the first post of the game as mafia. Assessing my play on a basic level isn't going to get you very far.

I see a contradiction in your post. You say that mafia is less likely to post immediately, but you also say that those who did are more suspicious than those who didn't.

Contradictions happen. Doesn't always mean something. I said I was going to accuse everyone. I can't accuse people who haven't posted yet.

Also, I am robot. Since some of us seem to be on board with this plan, I'll go ahead and claim also. I think the pros outweigh the cons.
