A while back it was considered a no-go to have trainer listed on the forums or main webpage in an easy to find manner.

It helps protect the integrity of the main game to make the trainer difficult to find. Zanz himself has mentioned that the trainer is not supposed to be easy to access for any new player.

When every player can have access to every card in the game then the main draw of the actual game becomes less powerful.

The community stance has probably changed a bit since then, but while ScaredGirl was around it was a pretty clear cut.

I totally agree there. The trainer might have some advantages (Even though I personally didn't use it once in my life before 1.4 was announced), but the easier accessable it is, the more players it will draw away from the actual game.

I guess he changed his mind on the issue a while back.

Still, that was the status quo for a while.

I'm not really trying to argue anything, I actually suggested this a while back too, but I just thought it was interesting to see the community change, even slightly.
