Reform the Tutorials section

From some discussion in chat, me and a few users agree that we could use some more specific guides. Not something like "how to grind faster" or "how to gain money fast", but something along "how to make OTK decks" and such. Sometimes people are asking about specific questions, which while nice, are redundant. Aside from that, the fact that tutorial section is outdated (many old guides) and some members try to make unofficial tutorial (some of which are decent, while the rest are notoriously bad) also hints at the tutorial section needing some work.

So, here's my suggestion:
1. Change it to "Guides"
2. Appoint new staff to write guides and clean things up
3. The staff must also ensure that the guides are up-to-date in each patch

I strongly agree with this suggestion - many of the tutorials in the newbie area are either outdated/redundant, with the few excellent ones stuck within their mix that need to be sorted out from the average ones.

Seeing as we have several noteworthy tutorial writers on this forum I think it would certainly help out newer players to have someone to maintain the section and write more creative guides.

I second this.
Hope Zanzarino or any admin with it's proper rights see it. Although, anyone could write tutorials, not only staff members.

I'm not sure this merits a staff position. Anyone is able to write a new tutorial or even update an existing one. Imo, if you want more tutorials/guides, write them!

As far as renaming the section "Guides", what is the advantage of calling it Guides instead of Tutorials?

Guides as a section sounds weird. Tutorials fits better.

+1 for a more "open" section, specific guides/tutorials should definitley be included because of Absol's argument. That doesn't need any work at all, just move the worthy and non-redundant tutorials into there.

For the staff position -- Let's not forget that some guides can last for quite a bit and then become outdated, as is the case with many tutorials we have now. The Original Poster of these tutorials may have been gone by then, in which case people will continue to refer to that tutorial, which is outdated but never updated.

So, while a relaxed staff position, a tutorial staff position wouldn't be bad. Nothing big, and more than likely only one person would be able to do it, but I guess it'd work. Specially to say which guide is outdated/keep guides up to date and / or clean. Not a staff to write them guides, just to keep them in the right place.

We don't even need that, we just need some people who send by PM or anything the tutorials for the admins and if it's worthy the admins can just move the threads.

If the admins say they have too much work or not enough time, then 1-2 people for Tutorial Staff would be a good option. I would apply for it

Walkthroughs (guides that tell how to play the game to end up at a good point from the start)
Specialized (guides for doing specific things such as Chapuz's OTK guide)
Miscellaneous (guides that don't fit into any of the above categories)

and a main board where guides can be submitted.
