Higher Standards in the Official Patch Threads

Is your criticism about the 1 post per user in order to follow the thread?

I believe those types of posts are a subset of "low-content posts".

Although I must admit that I'm a frequent contributor to the amount of low-content posts on the forum, it is a bit appalling that even the threads used to announce official news to users is filled with meaningless, mostly uninformative posts.

After my "low-content post to follow" I discovered an easier way to follow zanz's comments on the patch threads. I now read zanz's posts via his profile page.

Just make a new thread in the patch notes subforum called something like "Elements 1.32 Notes from Zanz" that would be closed. Then make copies of all of zanz's posts in that new thread. So now, we can find exactly where the information is but still post our enjoyment about the new patch.

As long as it's a normal post, of course people will spam there, and they're damn right to do so. If I checked out the forum for the first time, I'd be much more happy to see a post about the patch with 100 people shouting "yeeeeeah" and "made my day" than an oh-so-serious thread with two pages.

The only way OP makes any sense is when you're focussing on the point that we expect Zanz to read the community's constructive criticism, for which he has to skip through pages full of non-content-postings.
If that's the point, there should simply be two threads.
