I think both versions (removing all or removing only negative) would be valuable but not together. I lean in favor to the remove all option so it can be used as a debuff.
Perhaps the unupped removes all, the upped removes only the negative?
That would be a good idea pending more feedback in the crucible and beyond.

(I still feel the fire should burn or have the element changed)
After purifying the creature takes 1 damage? And gains 1 attack?

This wasn't intended as a card to buff a creature.
More of a status neutralizer.

I'm leanign to remove all status effects, upped and unupped, same cost.

To make it thematic, How about it being a purifying sacrifice? like sacrifice a small amount of HP to essentially purify the field and yourself?

I think the name should be 'purging fire', but other than that, I like it; this is the sort of thing I have wanted for a while.

I would like to echo the sentiment that fire as an element does nothing without a cost. Sure, it can purify but it tends to burn a little in the process...
"Purging Flame" sounds good and I definitely like the idea of the unupped removing all and the upped only removing negatives.

Just going to jump in here. I too am of the sentiment that this should harm the target, though due to the meany CC options Fire already has, not very harmful. It's main purpose is to remove statuses, not kill things. I was going to suggest 2 dmg decreased to 1 damage as the upgrade until I noticed the distinction between removing all statuses and removing negative statuses. You could possibly just deal 1 or 2 damage to the targeted creature for both. I feel this is necessary for the card to fit thematically. Just removing statuses could fit better in many other elements. Just my thoughts.

napalm, i think it is ok to to put removing status ability in fire elements.... physically it may seems destructive in nature.... but spiritually fire is associated with healing as well..... maybe we can change its name..... ''healing warmth'' or something?? and i am wondering no shards are made for fire elements yet..... perhaps we can based on this???

It wouldn't be purifying "fire" then would it? :P

I'd have to agree with you. :water seems more like purifying, while :fire seems more aggressive and fragile.
