Pride is not worth a full -1 cost. (+2hp not mentioned)
Prides would be put in decks where they are unlikely to be dead draws (like all cards are).
If you want to try and make me a deck where its high cost-to-damage ratio can make it faster than even a basic tower rush, then be my guest. To make them "not dead draws", then you would need some aflatoxin or be facing a rush . Against a creatureless deck, you'd be screwed. The only way to make them "not dead draws" would be to reserve deck space for complementary cards of a specific strategy, but then the deck would end up being slow.
Faster
Considering we are talking about a fraction of a quanta I doubt either of us wants to play the 1000+ games necessary to show the difference. I have actually done extensive [excel started to crash from lack of free memory] theoretical tests on how a single increment in casting cost can affect the speed of a deck. It exists but would take too long to show empirically for just 1 card suggestion.

I am claiming that Pride is worth a cost decrease between -.5 and -1 quanta. You are claiming (by your design) that Pride is worth a cost decrease between -1 and -1.5 quanta.

Dead Draws
Basic outline:
Pride
Bolts/Deflags
Blessing
Rage Potion
+Pillars and Pendulums.

A Pride being a dead draw in any variant of the above deck would be as rare as Rage Potion being a dead draw. Remember I am comparing the likelihood of Pride being a dead draw to the likelihood other cards face.

I...don't think I understand. Since no creatures (but Pride) can be considered a dead draw in almost all situations, then its casting cost (in relation to its attack) should be decreased by 1.5 to 2.

Well if you are playing a creature lite rush deck (like you would be with Pride) then 2 Prides in your opening hand is not a problem. This is especially true with those Blessing and sacrificial Photons you would be running that you could prioritize if necessary.

passive ability: only attacks if the number of creatures on the owner's side is less than or equal to the number of creatures on the opponents side STEAL

Derp. Mechanic just seems really boring to me, but apparently everyone else loves it. Unfortunately, I've lost interest. I'm too lazy to change this to darkness (darkness manipulates opponent, which makes sense with countering the opponent's swarm of creatures), cuz then I'm gonna have to change the name (Pride doesn't sound evil at all, and probably the picture and ability name.
If anyone wants to remake this card, be my guest. If anyone wants the image, it's attached. GLHF.

Frankly, 4|5 for 2 :light is extremely OP, and your ability doesn't make it balanced.

I think Prideful Lion would be a more suiting name...

Pride doesn't really sound like a creature to me.

i have 3 pride dealing 12 dmg total for 6 :light cost
enemy only has a 21/6 steam machine
i deal no damage

i have 1 pride dealing 4 damage for 2  :light
enemy has 3 horned frogs dealing 9 damage 9 :life
