Am I the only one who thinks Anointer doesn't sound like ?
Well, i explained the name in notes.
However i could still call it Plaguebearer or something like that, but i liked the idea.
I think that is more a cultural matter, since in Italian we recognize the medieval belief of the Anointers ("Untori" in italian), and it sounds really tied to the theme of plague spreading.
Considering its limited range of permanents that it can be applied to, I think it will be a bit UP... If it could affect shields somehow... maybe something like:
" Anoint: Target permanent is "plagued" and inflicts 1 poison on owner when used (50% chance for shields)"
E.g. if it is applied to a shield, it would only have a % chance to trigger when the shield blocks... (50% is just for illustrative purpose, it would probably need to be a bit lower)
I understand your suggestion, but i'd like to keep only one behavior, not one for permanents with abilities and another for permanents without abilities.
Instead i was thinking of letting the ability be used multiple times per turn. But i'm not sure about this.
