However the upped version shouldn't be colorless. That's not only weird, it's a mechanic  i wouldn't enable to every color deck. It should be bound to :life.

Totally agree with this.
However this card is cool, it could be used for Emphatic Bond and maybe an efficient mutation deck?

As much as I want to like this card, I do feel that the upped one is a bit too cheap...Think about it: E-Bond, Otyugh, Druids, Shard of Patience...The only real downsides of this card I see are it clogging your field (Which is stopped by something as simple as leaving open spaces for the other cards you want, or having self-sacrifice like said oty), or CC (Which SoP counters to an extent).

Seeing how said downsides are countered by the cards I imagine most people would be comboing them with...

On a (mostly neutral) side-note, I can see several new decks being made with this card. For example, a gravity-death duo with upped one, rainbow with Druids, the typical Afla-SoP being possibly improved...This one card seems to add several new possibilities to mass-creature based tactics.

Overall I like the card, but I feel the upped one needs some form or another of nerfing. It's too flexible for my tastes.

I'm not a professional player so I can't really declare the power of this card clearly (but I like it too), but there's a thing what I haven't been asked, so I'll ask it:

upped Pharaoh makes upped Scarabs, Skull shield makes Elite skeletons from upped creatures.

Does upped Cell becomes an upped Malignant cell?

I know that this card wasn't made in-game (so there's a 95% chance of 'no'), but I think that'll be good and fun (at least as nerf :D ).

As harmless as this card seems on the surface, it is actually in serious need of nerfing.

I wouldn't have guessed that without a little play testing thanks to openEtG...

Even though openEtG isn't a perfect replica of EtG in some respects, it works plenty well to have a look at this card.

The combo with empathic bond is just insane. Throw in SoPa and its just diabolical. Without PC or mass CC, only the fastest rush decks can really stop this before it gets rolling. With the SoPa combo, even mass CC can be tricky (and in openEtG SoPa has been nerfed and there are more CC options available)
After it gets rolling, only an OTK (or at least 40+ damage per turn) is going to stop it...
Even otyughs can have problems keeping them under control due to the sheer rate of multiplication (although scarabs can do the trick sometimes)

Its an awesome card but a cost of 1 :life to cast and 1 :life to activate makes it too easy to put cover the field.
Once this card gets well balanced, however, I think it will make an exceptional addition to the game.

^ This is after several rounds of balancing / nerfing to finally get it to where it is not OP in SoPa EM combos... and that is on top of a more CC heavy meta as well.
Moreover, EM was nerfed in oEtG so that it would drain :life for every (7?) creatures, rounded down.
Before this, PatCell and Wolf Bond decks were indeed dominating heavily.
