I meant what I said above; I believe the guest was just a big fan of jmdt’s.  He has a lot of fans; I’m one of them. 

I have it on good authority that decisions in other teams are not made as democratically as they are here.  Many players in the War are given decks to play with little or no say in the matter.  And when it comes to difficult decisions like cutting a deck, rest assured that few Masters take the time to poll the team.  This affords us an opportunity:  I believe firmly that our team will thrive off of the ideas, research efforts, and decision-making of everyone, where some teams seem to rely on a couple of individuals.

On that note I’d like to use this opportunity to say something I should have long ago: if anyone at any time has constructive criticism for the team or for me as General, please don’t hesitate to share.  I’m not the best leader out there and I need all the advice I can get.  I certainly wouldn’t hold it against a teammate if he said I ought to be taking the team in another direction.

Well I don't know how things going on in other teams, but for me, you are the perfect team leader. You let us come up with ideas, and you actually consider them before judging. I dunno if any of you guys know Travian, but if you do, then you know that being in a team and not the leader of it, you constantly ged ordered to do this and don't do that, no questions asked. Mainly I quit Travian bc I had enough of that. That's why I'm so happy that things are like this in team  .

Not to mention that regarding original deck-creating, insights to other tammember's deck ideas, and PVP skills, you are in a class of your own. 

That's true to all team Fire members, I am pleased to see that all of you (us) consider the others as equals and really consider everybody else's ideas, and even when disagreeing, you do it in a helpful and insightful way.

I think that's one of the strongest asset team Fire has. I'd be surprised if, when the teams forums get rewealed, I saw this much freedom and this may ideas thriving.
The other one of course, that we have the best deckbuilders(before the war, I wouldn't think that there will be so many good ideas and brainstorming going on), and every tam member (even brett, the rookie) has unbeliveably good PVP skills.

I'm honored to fight beside all of you, and I get loads of motivation from all of you.

Sorry about the late notice, and I'll post again if I get there and she has her laptop. If she doesn't bring it, I won't be here for the duel phase, and (possibly) the deckbuilding phase. I'd say it's a 80% chance that I'll be able to play, though, but if not, sorry. So, either see ya in a few hours, or in a few days.

I have a strategy for this war, which I am confident will give my team a significant advantage.

We're here.  During the first round with full discard, Earth has taken 4/8 suicide decks (I don't expect Terro will suicide).  Two of the decks had 13 earth cards, two had virtually none.  They went 2-2 on their non-suicide decks, so if Terro wins they'll be down to 110 cards and will only field three players next Round.

Sorry to say, we were bent over a barrel and we knew it.  Coming up with a good deck was tough, so we decided to cut our losses.

I'm not buyin it, coinich.  It's not possible they had to field four suicide decks and judging by some of the smugness I'm seeing in chat they have a plan.  They suicided intentionally... but I can't figure out why.

Getting down to three players means they field only General, Lieutenant, and one other player, so that's an advantage.  And they're moving up the list to get a bye, so that's another.  But they lose a TON of versatility in deck selection and every loss cripples them and further limits deck selection.

I just can't understand why you'd take a certain loss now rather than a potential loss later.  Can anyone add additional perspective?

also, if they are planning something, why not give their regular decks to their best players? Why risk losing another deck besides the calculated ones? timer, while a great player, is still their rookie. Maybe they thought they have better chances vs. Light than Death. I don't know, really...


btw Death is on a streak and this is bothering me.

Taking multiple losses among the matches they actually played couldn't have possibly been part of their plan. I suspect their strategy is still workable, but I imagine they were hoping to just suicide out 4 players, not lose 2 more. If they could go 5-4 total with the 4 losses being intentional discards, then they would have a very strong vault for the size it would be, and still a workable size. Going 3-6 may not have been their plan. People might be able to plan for them and start beating down the decks they have left.
