We have 2 days. As in round 1, I expect everypody to post here the deck they wanna play. Modifications are possible after that.
Is it OK if I run poisonbolt this round? If so, let me know, so I can buy the cards I need.

I'm currently leaning toward this deck, against :air
Code: [Select]
4ve 4vf 4vf 4vi 4vi 4vi 4vl 4vl 4vn 4vn 5f5 5f5 5f6 5f6 5f6 5fb 5fb 5fc 5fc 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi 5gi
It's the entropy duo -1 chaos seed, +1 deflag.

Total:

1 Abomination
2 Purple Dragon
3 Chaos Seed
2 Discord
2 Antimatter
2 Fire Shield
3 Deflag
2 Rage Potion
2 Phoenix
11 Fire Pendulum

If someone else wants to use the entropy duo, let me know and we'll discuss!

this is the deck I'm leaning towards.
It's the standard Immo Phoenix, -1freeze +1 chaos seed. If the chaos seeds are needed elsewhere, then I'll play the freeze.
I'm also thinking about -1<something>, +1 deflagration. Maybe -1freeze ? One freeze is a must, but if I cannot play the CS then 2 of seems redundant. This deck is somewhat resilient to a discord, but a DS can cause problems, as the deck packs a medium punch only.

Suggestions appreciated here!

how many freezes do we have? I was thinking of a deck like this: Deck inspired by Jmdt's ice drags deck.
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5fc 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7
Since gravity creatures are mostly based on skills, then we might as freeze all of them before they activate anything. Phoenixes to just deal some damage and since theres so much quanta production, then we might as well pack some bolts to finish off the opponent. Offering us 2 strategies, so even on the second match the opponent will be a bit undecisive on his tactics. I could have +1 freeze -1 pillar/firebolt. I could also switch freezes to rage pots. PC won't be necessary since phoenixes will get through grav shields, titans would be a little bit of damage but I think this deck can outrush it with a good deck. Phoenixes in case of too many otys or BB/grav shield combo. Drags would be limited damage.

Jmdt's deck: I just tested it a few times, your deck seems a bit low on quanta production. I also think it bases it's tactics on getting the right cards in the right time. I got only 1 pend this one time, then got crushed by AI3, lol.

EDIT:
I found phoenix takes a lot of quanta for fire bolt decks to work, so I could just as well make it creatureless:
Code: [Select]
5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f7 5f7 5f7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7 5i7
3 fahrenheits to increase chance of early draw. I hope we have 5 freezes, so the deck will be as stall-typed as possible. I doubt this deck will give anything away about our vault. Also, I played a creature-only deck, if I play a fire bolt deck right now, It'll be harder to predict what deck I'll use next. I just tested this fire bolt deck against AI3, it won even against that annoying fire/death/darkness trio, it deflagged 2 of my fahrenheits but I got my third one when I got like 70 fire quanta so... Went 10-0 :) Most decks will only pack 2-3 deflags/steals for backup PC and I doubt that they'll get all 3 in the first 7 turns.

how many freezes do we have?
4 in the vault. We can pull some from the propaganda bonus orr we can salvage up to 3 from The Dictator.

We really have to figure out salvaging and prop bonus RIGHT NOW. As I see, a lot of the curent deckbuilding is depending on both.

Is it OK if I run poisonbolt this round? If so, let me know, so I can buy the cards I need.
Yeah as far as I see, if you wanna go that way, you can.
But don't buy the cards just yet, instead test the decks in the trainer and buy only when you are 100% you gonna use that deck.

We need to decide on our decks quick, then decide which cards to take from salvage/prop bonus. I think I'll need at least 1 more freeze for my deck to be more effective as a stall. I'll go with creatureless frozen bolts. We probably have some cards where we'll need some extras in case we lose some, like nova/grabby decks where theres only 1 of each card (almost)

IMPORTANT: I may or may not be available aroud the deadline. So I either lock the topic around 10AM GMT tomorrow, or let kev to do the finalizing.  As a general, I think he has authtorization to do that and his deck-changes are considered legal. Am I right?
Yes.  I'll make the final changes if you cannot.

Is it OK if I run poisonbolt this round? If so, let me know, so I can buy the cards I need.
As I've said, your deck choice is ultimately up to you.  Poisonbolt will be a little extra difficult with only one arsenic (I'd make a case it deserves three against many opponents).  Here's the Deck Idea version -1 arsenic +1 ragepot.  Feel free to tweak it as you see fit:
Code: [Select]
52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52o 52q 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f0 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f4 5f5 5f6 5f6 5f8 5f8 5fb
Up to you.  We have plenty of freezes at our disposal, so don't feel you have to use the chaos seed if you don't want to.  Adding the deflag rather than the CS is an option as well.  Up to you.

how many freezes do we have?

I could also switch freezes to rage pots.

Jmdt's deck: I just tested it a few times, your deck seems a bit low on quanta production. I also think it bases it's tactics on getting the right cards in the right time. I got only 1 pend this one time, then got crushed by AI3, lol.

Feel free to use 6 freezes if you want; if you prefer ragepots those are available as well.  Please settle on a deck, though.I had a similar experience with jmdt's ice dragon deck.  Most of the time it worked splendidly but I lost if I drew only 1 pend.  The QI is frightening and it'd benefit from -1 dragon +1 pend at the very least.  But I don't get the impression jmdt spent a lot of time refining the deck.I'm glad you switched this deck, as it was starting to look a lot like Dragonbolt from our preliminary testing.  I was going to recommend you swap the bolts for ragepots, but taking out the phoenixes is just fine as well.I'm not sure teams put a lot of emphasis on which players played which decks, as that tends to be a result of matchups rather than player style.  But meh, it can't hurt.

Yeah, while testing the poisonbolt earlier in the brinstorming stage, I had the impression that

<sticks an Arsenic and begins to play slight CC with a few bolts> = WIN,
while
<falis to stick an Arsenic> = the deck is too slow to win.

so the deck would actually need 3 Arsenic to function. Or at least, to fit my playstyle.

Please keep in mind that I added the single RoF and deflag to the original deck with precognition-thinning in mind. In a deck w/o precogs, two 1-of could be money-for-nothing. Anyways, it's your call.

I'll make a final version of my first post in approx. 10 hours. After that, it's up to kev if he wants to modify anything.
