Analysis of the elements

First of all, no offense to Zanz, but I think we can all agree that the descriptions of the 12 elements on the game intro page aren't as informative and helpful as they should be. When a newbie comes to the game and tries to choose his/her starting element, more likely than not s/he would be confused on which element to choose. That is why I'm thinking that on the wiki, maybe we should include a detailed analysis of each element (around 1500 ~ 2000 words), including its central theme, strengths, weaknesses, synergies, etc. I can probably write the analysis of one element, most likely Darkness, but I don't think I can write them all; I think the Masters should each write an analysis of his/her element, and then submit them to be edited by the Wiki Editors.

I've noticed that some are long and fairly informative (aether, some others) while some are like two sentences (time) There should be more consistency. I could help write if you want.

Agreed. Maybe we could write a short description, as well as a detailed analysis, on each element. This should be newbie-friendly, because this project is mainly intended to guide new players.

Here is a similar project from a while back: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,3615.0.html . Some of it is really painful to read though because of highly subjective or plain old wrong comments, but it might give ideas when writing the analysis.

Before anyone starts to write about anything, I suggest you guys come up with a uniform template you will all use. Otherwise it will look too random with different writers and different styles.

For example you should come up with all the sub-headings. Something like this:

Introduction
What makes this element special?
Strengths
Weaknesses
Notable Cards

Synergies: What other element(s) work together well with this element?
Notable cards: What are some of the most famous cards belonging to this element?

By what the element is about you mean the theme, correct?

I think that would be a really good format. It wouldn't be too hard to write a basic analysis and show it to the community for more information, either.
