Saying that he has given up on the game/community is better than not saying anything at all.

Agreed.  Good to see current council addressing important issues.

This isn't primarily a move of Council to get answers to questions since I've already asked him these things and more over the months. As you may or may not know, replies are rare (none regarding competitions and 1.4 for instance), however fixes always come after some time once I've told him about crucial problems such as PvP servers not working.

This is more of a plead from all of the non-Admin staff for any sign of activity and a repeated listing of current issues. I felt it was important that he sees more people than just me care about this game enough to e-mail him about it. He can already see we care to some normal degree by perusing the forum.

That brings me to my last point: he can see everything on this forum. The worst thing we can do is pressure him or call him out on things like him saying "Smaller, more frequent updates ftw"
If we do that, he's only going to develop a negative feeling towards working on the game.

When I apply for a staff position, it basically depends minimally on the quality of my application and more so on what I have done on the content I am trying to seek staffer-ship to moderate apply for? (The part of the forums I am trying to apply for)? If that is so, then what I have done in other parts of the forums, say for example, chat, doesn't matter if I am applying to a specific part of the forums, say for example, Tournament Organizer?

The council looks at the useful things: how well the applicants can develop their roles as staffers. In general terms, the important points the council members look at before voting is:
- Previous activity in that role, like Will as Deck helper
- Experience (let's say TOing in a tourney when there were not TOs online in that moment)
- Spirit, how much they want to be in that role. Applying for previous staff holes counts here
- Basic skills, like good english for a Newsletter writer, creativity for Brawl master, etc.
