More mods?

There is no ignore standard for IRC (which makes sense); ignore functionality is implemented client-side.

I don't think our web client has one. I'd like to make a better web client when I have the spare time though, which could be never.

Is there a way to get ourselves an ignore function without taking too much of Xeno's time?

If not/this isn't possible, then yes, we need more mods.

I'll go ahead and add my name to the list of people asking for additional chat mods. 

I wouldn't consider this an issue if we had mods to cover most of the time zones during the day, but we don't.  I feel very, very uncomfortable with leaving a chatroom without a mod on duty and it makes me feel as if I'm doing the community a disservice by doing so.  However, as I have sleep and...other things...that I would like to give my attention to, there are certain occasions where I absolutely cannot afford to remain online until another mod appears.

This has been bugging me for a while now, so I hope this situation is resolved soon.  If not, I'll likely have to resort to giving certain people that I think are trustworthy temporary mod privileges because I agree that leaving chat exposed to trolls for several hours is completely unacceptable, but as I'm not a god there's only but so much that I can do.

Traditionally chat mods have been appointed by the Admin and the privilege has gone to respected and longstanding members of the community, like willng3.  We've discussed the issue recently in council and agree that more are required.  I see a few people in this thread that would be wonderful choices.

Poking this again. We have no moderator from an european time zone since higs moved to china, and we just had a quite... idiotic.. troll, just now. For several hours.
