More mods?

I've posted this on the other thread, but i feel like bringing the issue up again. Apologies for the necro.
There are two reason we need something like this (or at least reasons why i'm bringing this up):
1. Since chat migration, we can't ignore obnoxious users anymore. This is not a problem, if not for:
2. The amount of trolls remain constant, while chat is more often left without mods.
Just an addition of one or two regulars in chat would be nice. Preferably those with good reputation.

Since I recently re-joined chat, it's just getting ridiculous what the (mostly) underaged/idiots allow for themselves from time to time. And as far as I see, our limited staff that is capable of taking care of these abominations are not always there to react (which is understandable, as family/work/etc. comes first).

The above quote may be only half-serious, but we should definitely have a few more (trustworthy) users with mod powers.

I also forgot to note that thankfully, the community can handle these occurences very well, still, they can be extremely annoying..

I agree with Tiko/Absol/everyone else... mods might not be that big of an issue except for us being unable to ignore the idiots, like we could before. We saw this especially yesterday and the day before, this chat can draw some idiots/failed trolls, and I wouldn't mind us having more people to counter them so to speak

How about everytime the chat is open the guy with the most post(maybe at least 500), become a mod(if not officials mod are on)?
It may don't work but at least give a certain amount of safety from troll or annoyers.

I have a feeling that there are several circumstances where you'd be giving the power to kick/ban to the one doing the trolling/annoying.

And I highly doubt that our chat has the ability to do something like this anyways.

Yeah, you right will, it'll be diffcult to give someone who's not a 24h/24h-7d/7d mod by his and other's choice , the responsability of being impartial and at the same time severe enought to make a good work.
I prolly agree then with the choice of more *official* mods if this is what the community needs now.

It's -technically- possible, but impractical in very many ways. Hiring a few extra mods seems like a far better solution if needed.

Poking this again. We have no moderator from an european time zone since higs moved to china, and we just had a quite... idiotic.. troll, just now. For several hours.
