I'm about to start farming FGs and am in the midst of deciding whether I should go for upping the rest of a CCYB or going for this deck here and upping as I go.  Since this wins reasonably effectively, I think I'll go for this.  Should I bother with unupped Sanctuary over some SoG's?  And how many SoG's would an upped build of this have?

Sanc can be worthwhile, as it helps against Dark Matter, and can help against Dream Catcher, Chaos Lord and Decay if you play it right. You'll have to bait Decay's Steals with SoG's or an Electrocutor if he has already played his. I wouldn't add more than 2 Sancs though, since they are more expensive and you -have- to pay with :light

How stallish a RoL/Hope build is, is largely defined by how many SoG's you have. Perpetual Light (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,14312.0.html) focuses on speed with Archangels and 3 SoG's, whereas stall decks like unionruler's (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5026.0.html) uses Luci for Dragons and a Miracle. You can have as few as 2 and as many as 6, while adjusting the rest of the deck after how fast you want it as well.

More healing generally ups the win rate a bit, but since it loses speed, you lose total electrum gain per hour. Also keep in mind that the faster you are, the less time are the FG's given to get set up.

Thanks a lot Higurashi.  I think I like that Perpetual Light deck a lot and am going to go for it asap.  Is the picture update to reflect the  "-1 SoG, +1 Tower"?

I like how Archangel is not only higher damage / :light, but also is just lower  :light in general.

Thank you so much.  Your amazing deck netted me my first FG win since Sundials lasted for 2 turns.  After facing three impossible Gods, I faced Incarnate, won, and got 2 upped cards that are useless in decks.  I also have been able to upgrade the rest of my T50/PvP deck.  Can't thank you enough.

Wow, couldn't log in for 2-3 days and this thread gets revived? Awesome, I always thought RoL/Hope deserved a place in the semi-unupped FG decks board, that's why I initially started this thread.

I must say that Lobotomizers are the first/second thing you should upgrade after RoL's, along with SoG's. My rating would be like this: (gonna add it to the OP, and it's open to discussion)
1- RoL's -duh-
2- Lobotomizer/SoG's. You can make the deck without the SoG's, but it's better with 3 of them, and Lobo is a must against some gods, so 1/2 of the effect's cost is awesome (the jump from  :aether :aether to  :aether is a lot)
3- Fractals/Pillars-Pends. Yeah, split the pillars in pillars/pendulums, and the -1 cost of Fractal is pretty much the same as the +1 quantum generation...
4- Dragons. They're end-game hitters, and they're nearly the same against most gods, since playing them means you already have the match controlled, and their upped cost isn't that attractive anyways.
5- Hope Just don't upgrade it. +1 defence is meh when you have ~14 RoL's up, and the +1 cost can hurt you since mostly you reach exactly 7 :light when you play it, and you could die because of that. Even though that, you can upgrade it, it's up to you.

Yes, Hope is up to preference. I've had good results with both.

When you get SoG's, remove 1 Hope and then Pillars/Pends. Another option is -1 Lobo, if you find yourself drawing them too much. Up to preference.

I prefer to remove some pillars/pends and 1 Fractal, as to make the deck shorter. I end up with 4 Fractals and 9 Towers (I didn't split them up  :-[), but I like to have 4x Hope and 3x Electrocutor. You'll find that 4 Fractals is more than enough to fill the field, but if you want to use 5, it's your variant...

This is probably the most luck based one. If he can drain more quanta than you produce, has a discord, or destroys all you towers with a quicksand, quitting is recommended.
Otherwise, fractaling rays for primary damage, using electrocutor on nymps if he plays and, and fractaled dragons if you have a large amount of excess quanta is the strategy.
While he could potentially devastate you by destroying all your pillars using butterfly effect, and antimattering all your creatures using the nymph, he strangely doesn't do it. He always uses the nymph ability on dragons, so don't play dragons unless you can kill him even if he antimatters a dragon each turn, or if you can lobotomize the nymph when it comes out. Avoid playing only a few dragons if you can't handle a nymph at all costs.
Now he does ; he AM each RoL 1 by 1 :o
