Why is Gemini in the skip category? If you get an early lobo there's a really good chance of winning. I personally have never lost to him if I got a lobo on my first few turns.

I suspect because there are several times where Gemini will chain Phase Shields until you die from deck out.  Because this takes forever and usually results in a loss in the end anyways, it's more efficient for players grinding to skip him rather than play the entire match only to lose in the end anyways.

Decay will always fractal RoL if you have a hope out. the matter with electrocutor isn't damage but the fact that he can lobo your RoL and make them useless. Moreover he can deck you out with his dusk mantle and game are always very long vs him. But he has a good drop rate ^^
Yeah, it's been about a month with the deck and I'm starting to see some of it's flaws. That initial reaction that Decay is easy with this deck was just an impulsive mental rush from one of my first "real" FG wins with some upped cards (as opposed to Oracle wins)  :D. After a dozen or so matches with Decay, I've now begun to see that my first easy win is not indicative of how this deck performs against him (that's a big "duh" on my part). However, I do not detract my earlier statement: I still feel he should be moved, if not to playable, at least to the hard section. I've found if two conditions are made you get a moderately good win chance against him:

1: You play all the RoL's in your hand before he has enough quanta for Fractal. He will always fractal it. If he siphons all of them before playing Fractal and fractals his Devourers, then I'd quit. As long as you keep at least one RoL on you field you won't get quanta locked. You can lobo the Devourers he draws at your own pace later to avoid the small drain they'll cause.

2. You keep a lot RoL's on the field (at least 12 with an active luminescence ability) at all times because of the Electrocutor. I've found a bit of math helps: Leave slots for 3 dragons in your creature slots and fill the rest with RoL's. Add one open slot for dragons for each Siphon life he's played . You will usually have enough slots open for plenty of dragons with this formula. Even with his Improved Dusk if you have 6-8 dragons ripping into him each turn he'll usually go down.

Or just add a White Nymph if you have it. He'll still target a RoL with Electrocutor and you can use its ability to simply give back the skill to all your lobo'd RoL's and to Dragons as well.  :P

Lobo only removes Devourer's Burrow ability. The draining of quanta is a passive ability, and it cannot be removed in any way.

Vs. Decay always comes down to your draws. Lots of Rays = win. I usually keep one Ray in hand when I try to bait it for him since it's autoquit if I lose all my Rays to Siphons.

Oh wow, that's a fail on my part, sorry ::) I run two Sanctuaries as PC bait, so I must have remembered not losing further quanta as my Lobo's doing rather than simply an unstolen Sanctuary. My bad.

What should you put in if you dont have lobos? If you need lobos, whats the best unupped Arena deck?

the healing gods are the main ones that really irritate me...elidnis and fire queen can heal for way too much. they can heal for like 150 damage per turn, and thats less than my damage output per turn. even if i lobo all of fire queen's...well, fire queens, it can still put up 10 feral bonds. 10 creatures (this is an understatement) on the board is enough to heal her for 100hp. is there any way to counter this? also, for quanta draining gods, i suggest putting up a few sanctuaries?

@alex: You need Lobos, plain and simple. At least 2, and 3 is even better.

@theq: Fire Queen is rather easy since Lobo destroys her completely. Elidnis comes down to how fast your draw is, and Ferox is hard. You can still rush all of them if their setup is slow, just make sure not to play too many Rays so your total offence remains high with many Dragons on the field.

Sancs aren't worth the time, since RoL/Hope gets its high FGei thanks to its speed. If Sanc did protect from the most problematic quanta denial, it would be useful, but unfortunately Discord almost always comes out before Sanc and Quicksand will still wreck you. If you want to run a stallier RoL/Hope for higher winrate and less FGei, you can do so with Luci for Dragons and lotsa healing, like so: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5026.0.html

I put two sanctuaries my ROL/Hope, and they have given me a much better chance against Decay and helps with Hecate (nightmare) and a bit with Dream Catcher.

Even though Decay has 4 steals (and sancs have higher priority than lobo), all I need the sanc for is near the beginning, up to the first fractal. (Decay fractals ROL over Pests, so Pests aren't really a problem).

Decay is quite simple:  if you start with a ton of pillars/pends/rays, then play it out (of course quit if at any time he gets the upper hand).  I'd say, if you have 5+ playable cards on your first turn (or 4+ and you won the coin toss), give it a go.  Otherwise quit.  Exception: if you start with 2+ electrocutors, quit (you can't play them without him stealing them and using them to murder you, and they'll clog your deck quite badly).

It's not about trying to win every battle...  it's about choosing your battles wisely and losing quickly when you must.

You might want to change the section on Akebono. (sp?) Your guide says he won't overdrive your rays early on, but he just did it to me. First turn I put a ray down and he put overdrive on it.

what is usually better 2 Dragons(upped/unupped) or 2 Archangels?

I used to play it with Dragons but I've recently tried it with Archangels and they are really usefull.
Because ..
1. they cost less and are easier to spam
2. even if Hope is out false gods lobotomize the effect of the Archangel first

But sometimes it feels like im lacking damage against some False gods thats why I'm asking with which Card (except light nymph...) is it easier to win?
