Upgrade Mix Up

I was thinking, and remembered about ZBlader's alternate upgrade idea (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,20252.0.html).  I like the idea.  I also think it might be a good idea to have two separate not upgraded cards become the same upgraded card.

I know this is thinking outside the box, but it is potentially possible.

Oooo I like this..I think having two cards possibly having the same upgraded card kind of defeats the purpose though Maybe if the card ended up upgraded with the element of the unupped card. I dunno I'm just throwing out ideas. I'll keep up with this thread to see where it goes.

Would you be able to have more than 6 copies of the two upgraded cards combined? I know you can't have, say, 6 Novas and 6 Supernovas in a deck, but would this be different?

I think they would be considered different, but let me try to illustrate this.

A_un ups to A^u
B_un ups to B^u

A_un≠B_un
A^u=B^u

So a player may use 6 each of A_un and B_un.
A Player may not use more than 6 in any combination of the upped.

No thank you. I would rather have 3 regular | 3 upgrade cards than have 2 regular | 3 upgrade cards.

To find a mechanic that would require this configuration maybe difficult.  I am just presenting a possibility.  UTAlan's configuration is another option.

I see no reason to ever deprive one meta (unupped or upped) of cards.

Just brainstorming on this general topic, so bear with me. I'll try not to get too off-topic.

Where A and B are rare cards:

A_un + B_un = C_un
A^u + B^u = C^u

C_un cannot be purchased at the bazaar.
C_un cannot be upgraded to C^u.
Neither C_un nor C^u can be won in spins.
