There is nothing in game that protects quanta. This is a serious hole in defense that deserves one. I feel the blackhole effect is way too devastating, partly because there is no counter to it. Discord has an effect on quanta that has no counter as well (short of steal and destruction).

To counter this problem, I propose the Quantum Shield:

Quantum Shield
Element:Other
Cost:3
Effect:Prevents quanta manipulation
With this card in play, quanta levels rise normally, and cannot be lowered/shifted via effects.  Using this shield would prevent the blackhole effect, and stop discord from moving quanta around. I'm not sure is the cost makes sense (I used the cost of a shard as a base point). I'm also not sure if it should block damage (1 hp probably if so), but I leave it open for debate.

does this also prevent things like the Devourer Effect?
What does Upg do? decrease cost or give a defend1 like a base shield?

I made this a while back: Quantum Lattice | Quantum Grid (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,7664.0.html)

For some reason I get the feeling I heard that something along the lines of :gravity was going to be produced that did this. If not, it should be.
Gravity makes the most sense, since it is the element opposite of Entropy.

yeah quantum control has gotten out of hand and when using a a rush deck its frustrating...i do belive that something like this should exist but i do see some abuse of this idea (then again EVERYTHING gets abused in this game to some point)

maybe the upped version is called quantum defender.
its cost raised by one. and it will also block one damage.
still makes your quantum gaining in its normal state.

I love this idea, but I think it should be a 4 cost, I know it sounds hefty, but I mean for a seasoned player with a lot of upped cards, 4 quanta of any element is pocket change, and it successfully eliminates a few of the darkness builds with just one card. I think that may prove a big hit to darkness. IMO

frustrating doenst mean you should make a counter for it... there are lots of "frustrating" things in the game. that doesnt mean you need a counter. and a good counter for quanta stuff it lots of pillars

i agree that we shoud have a quanta controler but shoud not be of "any element" shoud have a specific element and shoud not be aether or earth because those have already a counter (quinta and PA) i guess it shoud be water because i guess it is a realy weak element( the worst) and shoud be something like this:
spell
2 water quanta cost
and you chose a element to protect and it also apear the imortal simbol (on the element) such as on imortal monsters/permanets and devoreres, black holes and discord with took the other elements if there was any but woud ignore it such fire storm ignores imortal monsters black hole woud also ignores that element having a max healing of 32 instand of 36
