I notice that something elements is missing that i have enjoyed from other games is some usage of your life/hit points as an alternative to using quanta. Something like, trade x of your life away for x quanta points.

Some kind of sacrifice theme may be appropriate.
Thanks for stealing my idea that I stole it from Guild Wars and have been meaning to do for months. :)

"Blood is Power"
- :darkness
- you sacrifice your HP to get quantum

But yeah.. Elements definitely needs something like that.

That you did. I will start the Card construction segment next Monday leaving the weekend for any new posters to add suggestions.

Instead of :darkness, make it give :death... Seeing as :darkness already has Devourers/Pests :)

Yeah :death makes more sense gameplay wise but if we talk about sacrificing stuff, :darkness with its dark rituals and stuff seems like a good choice.

I really like the ideas on this thread. Collecting ideas like this and then doing the cards is a smart way of doing business.

Here's one:

Sacrificing a creature
- you click a permanent, then your own creature
- this creature dies and you get quantum

OPTION 1: get a fixed amount of quantum per creature
OPTION 2 : get twice the quantum of the cost of the creature

Quite like the sacrifice approach.

Perhaps the card can be called an 'Altar' or something... image of a bloodied and hacked-away-at stone altar. We need an internal way to fuel the Scavenger ability. I mean internal in the sense that keep it to Death/Darkness. Other than having to go Otyugh and gobble Skeletons.

I like the way it would work. You click the Permanent, and then you select a creature. Imagine a Unstable Gas, that has a target.

The 'Sacrifice' ability, on the permanent could cost 3 or maybe 4 :death. And you get random quanta return on the creature sacrificed? x2.

So if you sacrifice a Shrieker, you get 8*2 Random Quanta in return, at a cost of 3 or 4 :death.

This opens up even more doors. A pillar less rainbow? :)

the only problem with having a cost to the sacrifice is that anything that would actually give you quantum would be not wanted to be sacrificed, now if fractual was involved it would be overpowered (kinda)

- A card that increases the opponents quantum costs?
- A card that turns a creature into a pillar
- A card that generates quantum proportional to your HP
- A card that gives quantum when a creature enters play

That's all I got.

Idea
Weapon cards are considered rare but are rarely used widely. Below are some ideas that may assist players hoping to make a wepaon-based deck without the hassle of waiting and wasting card slots for "Flying Weapon" as well as an efficient contender among an unlimited variety of decks existing at the moment and to create new varieties of strategy for weapon-based cards. Maybe create a new set of quantum pillar called Metals or the like but that is a bit far-fetched. Random Quanntum = RQ
==================================

Theme
a. World of Weapons: Way of giving wings to weapon cards to fly on the field  :aether
b. Metamorphism: Pave a way to handle the Scrap Metal :entropy
c. Remake: Way for providing alternate damages 1/1 stat :entropy
d. Resource: Another way to provide damages by spawning Scrap Metal :life
e. Repair: Way of protecting weapon-based cards on the field :light
f. Sharpen Edge: Way of increasing stats for weapon-based cards :earth
g. Critical Penetration: Enable a percent chance to do triple weapon-based damage :air
h. Shuriken: A unique way to place a control on the opponent RQ
i. Metal Clog: Another control on the opponent RQ

Role
a. A permanent card that allows replaced weapon cards to go to the field :aether
b. A spell card that has a chance to morph a Scrap Metal into a random weapon card :entropy
c. A spell card that can disassemble weapon card to smaller parts  :entropy
d. A card similar to "Boneyard" but spawns Scrap Metal instead :life
e. A shield card that prevents spell from targeting weapon-based cards on the field :light
f. A spell card that increases damages only on weapon-based cards :earth
g. A spell card that gives a weapon-based card 50% chance to make a critical damage :air
h. A spell card that enables player to destroy 1 card from the opponent's hand RQ
i. A spell crad that prevents player from drawing on the next turn RQ

Mechanic
a. Opens the entrance to the Wolrd of Weapon. :aether
b. Turn a Scrap Metal into a random weapon or completely melt it. :entropy
c. Convert a weapon with even attack points to N Scrap Metal. (N is AP/2 + 2) :entropy
d. Spawn 3 Scrap Metal when a weapon is destroy. :life
e. Effective only if Morning Star is in play. 75% to repair against spells. :light
f. Forge a weapon or Scrap Metal with +3/3 :earth
g. Grant a weapon or Scrap Metal 50% chance to do triple damage. 5HP penalty if misses. :air
h. Sacrifice one Scrap Metal to destroy 1 card from the opponent's hand RQ
i. Sacrifice two Scrap Metal to prevent player drawing on the next turn RQ

==================================
I try to make this as concise as possible. Forgive me if I went over the limited space allowed. Just in case if anyone is wondering: AP stands for Attack Points and Scrap Metal is not a real card ( Just something I made up to go along with this idea providing an additional help to weapon-based decks if there is such a thing). There are lots of room for improvement if anyone like this idea.

Thanks for the Effort Anh but this topic is going to be specifically Quanta related cards.
If successfull here, we can take your ideas to a weapons workshop next.

Had another idea. A card that puts a status effect on a stack of pillars.

Imagine the way in which 'Poison' or 'Infect' puts a Poison Counter on a creature, and then that creature loses 1 hit point each turn.

So,

1. Quantum Tax // 3. Quantum Theft :: :aether
Target stack of pillars gives you and your opponent quanta, 50/50 split.
Lasts 2 turns?

2. Quantum Haemorrhage :: :fire
Target stack of pillars damages your opponent equal to the amount of quanta it produces.
Lasts 1 turn?

3. Quantum Theft :: :aether
Target stack of pillars gives you quanta instead of your opponent.
Lasts 1 turn? maybe 2?

4. Quantum Regeneration ::  :life
Target stack of pillars heals you equal to the amount of quanta it produces.
Lasts 2 turns?

What do you think?
