I like how we use mservando's posts to ridicule his ideas.

But, as nice as they may be, "creature spammers" are not the best way to go.  They do not really introduce anything new to the game.  One way to go with creature-spawning creatures is to simply spawn an already in-game, but aside from making an expensive creature that slowly spawns others, it will add nothing to the game besides a cheaper Mitosis.

There's already Mitosis in the game, so adding any "creature spammer" in the game won't change how decks work, really.  The capability to spam creatures is already present with SoR + Mitosis.
This thing seemed dead inside. It seemed like an automaton, trying to act like as if it was alive. The effect was unsettling.
Orianna made a sound that supposed to a girl's squeal of glee and hugged The Ball. While it might have been touching, it was unfortunately only horrifying.

Yes, unless you introduce a mechanic that relies on slow swarming via FFQ/Pharaoh or Mitosis, then there is no real purpose.

And don't get me wrong.  I love these creatures.  In fact, Pharaoh is my favorite creature, Firefly Queen coming in at third.

Twisting the generation mechanic isn't necessarily a bad idea - for example, Ship of Theseus | Ship of Theseus is a cheap replicator that continues 'production' through it's clones, and Astral Spirit | Astral Faerie generates its copies in the hand instead of the field.  Graviton Captain | Graviton General uses the basic spawn mechanic but gives the spawns an ability that makes them more powerful in groups.

@mservando Instead of responding with two-word responses I suggest you explain why you feel this game could deserve another creature spawner, considering the ones already present. Be creative! :)

But the problem with adding a spawner is that it would lower the effectiveness of the original card in the resulting meta. (See Skeleton vs. Boneyard.)

Really, unless you have a mechanic that involves having multiple copies of one creature, there is no reason to add something that is already there.  You might as well just make a 5/3 creature for 6 :life that has the ability "Mitosis".

It also allows you to easily break the 6 creature rule and spam down many creatures in one turn at once. Mitosis/spawners take many turns.

I think the reason most CCG don't have too many creature spawners, or cards that make new creatures of nowhere, is because those require several token cards (MtG does anyway, but it is because they never seem to sell enough and want you to expend extra money on those pretty tokens).
But this being a virtual game is different.

A creature that comes with mitosis doesn't sound that bad, albeit it wouldn't be easy to balance, since daughters would come with mitosis too.
