Which NON-Rainbow FG deck? https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=6561.msg68868#msg68868

WHICH NON-RAINBOW FG DECK?

Tired of playing rainbow decks as you grind FG's?

Fed up waiting for the same old quinted Oty + bonewall + firestorm?

Not sure which alternative deck to try?

Confused by claims of winrates of 60% and 10% for the same deck?

Then this is for you!

I was fed up reading threads about decks, spending vast sums of electrums and discovering that the version I had build wasn't working well.  So, after lots of trial and error, and a LOT of profit earnt on the way, I bring you an independent test of over 100+* games for each deck and hopefully a useful guideline to realistic winrates!

*results were kept using http://elementsstatistics.comxa.com/statistics.php (http://elementsstatistics.comxa.com/statistics.php)

Fractal Hope (RoL/Hope)

Code: [Select]
5lk 5lk 5lk 5lk 6rn 6rn 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jp 7jq 7jq 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 808 80e 80e 80e 80i 80i 80i 80i 80i
The daddy of non-rainbow FG grinders.  This version is modelled on Seravy's build with notes taken from Jangoo.

Please check the relevant thread for more details on how to use the deck effectively.

Initially I used a version modelled on the Unionruler version, but was dissatisfied with the style & results.  After going back and checking the original 1.21 ray of light/hope/fractal anti-FG thread, I followed the build by Seravy with the additional SoG noted by Jangoo.  I was pleasantly suprised, and found this to be an effective and efficient fast FG grinding deck.

Test results:

WINS                   EM's              LOSSES                TOTAL                  PERCENTAGE
  59                       17                   91                       150                           39%

*Please note that in the short term results may vary.  A ten game losing streak is very possible, so make sure you have enough electrums before using any deck.

Terro's Pesty FG Deck!

Code: [Select]
7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t4 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t6 7t8 7t8 7t9 7t9 7ta 7ta 7td 7td 808 808 808 808 808 808 80i 80i 80i 80i
A direct copy of Terro's latest visionary deck!

A new comer, and one that has receieved a lot of varying feedback.  It takes a while to get used to, but it can definitely turn a profit in the long run.  However, it can be very frustrating at times (I lost my first 10 games) so be warned!

Test results:

WINS                   EM's              LOSSES                TOTAL                  PERCENTAGE
  30                       14                   70                      100                           30%

Nymphomania

Code: [Select]
6qq 6qq 6qq 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 77f 7h0 7h0 7h0 7h0 7h0 7k0 7t4 7t4 7t4 80h 80h 80h 80h
This build was based on Raingblood's original build with additions suggested by Jangoo.

Without doubt this deck has limitations, and can rely on a very good draw against some Gods, but the additions of the Pulvy & mirror shield do give you a fighting chance when otherwise victory would be impossible.  However, it is possibly the most fun FG grinder around.

Test results:

WINS                   EM's              LOSSES                TOTAL                  PERCENTAGE
  64                       41                  136                      200                           32%

Yala's Poison Quartet

Code: [Select]
5i5 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 6rn 710 710 710 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gk 7gp 7gp 7gr 7h1 7n2 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q5 7q7 7q8 7q8 80h 80i
The latest deck from the avant garde deck builder Yaladilae.

Without a doubt Yaladilae try's and (usually) suceeds in creating successful yet unorthodox decks.  This is no exception.  However, this is by far the slowest deck tested, and may not be suitable for grinding as such.

Test results:            CURRENTLY BEING TESTED RESULTS TO FOLLOW

WINS                   EM's              LOSSES                TOTAL                  PERCENTAGE
  n/a                      n/a                  n/a                      n/a                           n/a

Notes

I am sorry if I have omitted any other good non-rainbow FG grinding decks, but I am willing to test them and post results of 100+ games.

Results may vary, even over a 100 game spread.  However, I hope this gives a guidline of what to expect.  All the above decks made a profit playing FG's.

May I suggest a lot of yala's decks found at the bottom of his butterfly deck, especially the poison quartet.

Thanks for putting my deck up there, and that 30% seems reasonable and pretty close to what I've got (33%).

Someone is probably going to come on here and say that Nymphomania is a Rainbow deck, and that version definitely is, but it's so different from regular Rainbows that it should still be up there, in my opinion.

Also, I'm not really a new-comer (To myself at least ::)) I just don't post most of my decks, unless I'm very confident in them.

EDIT: I believe Yala's Poison Quartet (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5725.0.html) and Archayt's Eternal Concordance (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4148.0.html) both gave good win % for non-Rainbows
I ask nothing of humanity but fairness in all things, but I do not expect even that.

39% seems a little low to me.  (FYI, I use 3 SoG, 3 Electrocutor, 3 upgraded Hope.)

Want to help out the newbies and give The Essential Newbie FG Killer (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,5656.0.html) a spin?

Also, Nympomania 2.0 is a MUCH better deck overall:

Code: [Select]
6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6ts 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u3 6u7 6u7 6u7 77f 7h0 7h0 7h0 7h0 7t4 7t4 7t4 80h 80h 80h 80h
You should give that a spin.
If something happens and you think it deserves my attention, feel free to PM me. Other than that, I'm probably here if you want to shoot the breeze.

Sorry, anything but Nymphomania.

I tried using it twice (two different series of many games with different builds) and it couldn't get it to work at all.

The deck is a new comer, not you.

That maybe.  After 20 games I was running at 60% winrate, however 10+ games with nothing but Osiris, Morte & Octane kills Fractal Hope.

In theory, that is a much better build, in practise... I shall give it a spin  :-*
