Ahhh, I gotcha. Still learning that the Quanta Index tool has limitations. ;P One could still do the math themselves..I think the rule of thumb is that for every 5 quanta you'll need, add a pillar? Course that would involve a lot of conjecture about how many turns there would be, how many pharoahs made, how many scarabs spawned, how many times they'll eat..
Something that Djhopper is STILL ignoring. I find it funny how he's criticizing a deck he's never tried before. If he'd ever acctually try it, he'd know the amount of pillars in it works just fine.
Mate, your attidude is appalling. We play this game for fun, not to find people to hate :P

Another thing about this forum is that there are alot of decks. I simply will not play ever deck I stumble apon as that would take hours, and not really be very helpful/useful. If people see your deck, and it is credited with a desirable win-rate and looks like a deck that could get that win-rate; people will try it. People will not on the other hand play decks that are credited stunning win-rates/claims about their speed/awesomeness if they just look like decks that will not near those win-rates. This goes for anything you post: If people are sceptical, then post proof! take screen-shots, give statistics but don't just call us arse-holes for not trying your deck. It won't make it in any way more creditable.

Take a chill pill, Dj, and stop spamming every board with your hatred of me. If you don't want to try my decks, I don't really care. Stop wasting your time replying to me. The people who aren't stuck up, have time, and acctualy like Mummy/RT decks will try it, and might like it or change it a little if they don't. I'm trying to help people, not get harassed by you.

Excuse me guys. May we get on topic of the scarab deck? Please stop fighting about this silly reason.
Anyways, the scarab deck is an arena grinder but no PC. Many things will destroy this deck.

Good point.

Looking at your original deck, all I can think is... Unfocused!

I think the problem is that all the effective scarab-spamming methods are grouped into three elements. This makes a rainbow focused on just scarab-spamming really hard to balance and not very effective. If you don't mind changing from rainbow, then I would reccomend a scarab deck that looks something like this:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
576 576 576 5rq 5rq 5rq 5rq 5rq 5rq 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 5t2 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 61t 622 622 622 622 622 8pu

On the other hand, there are some old rainbows that use scarabs as a win-condition. Here's a link to pharaoh sails to Orion, which should work in 1.29 with a little tweaking. (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,4958.0.html)

If I sum up correctly, you just want to:
- play scarabs because you like them
- have EM because it's electrum-friendly

My suggestions then:
- come back to the origin deck, no novas, more towers, 6x sundials.
- add maybe 4/5 aether pendulums (remove some towers), it will help with time to add hourglasses to the deck.
- add 3 hourglass, you really need to have them upgraded
- just play 1 pharaoh maximum (even 0), you have no reason to play him in fact (no quints, no shards of readiness, etc).
- just play 3/4 scarabs
- focus on the fractal/scarab combo (it will also increase the importance of the bonds) - I think 4/5 fractal is ok
- play less buffs, your scarabs should be big enough with just their brothers on the field (should give you rooms). Just 1 or 2 upped plate armor should be enough.
- don't play the druidic staff, the bonds should be enough to heal you for the EM (if you really want a weapon, play a pulveriser for PC or an upped vampiric for healing power).

If you ever choose to follow my path, tell me how it goes. :)
Presenting my deck modified a bit, particularly with Brontos' suggestions..

Tadaa.
I've been neglecting this deck lately due to experimenting with other kinds of decks (I'm really digging mono entropy for bronze grinding) but I still really like the concept here. Scarabs for CC, Pulverizer for PC, heals and bonds for....well heals. sundials and hourglasses to speed up draws. It's solid. I'm going to go ahead and test it a little and get back to everyone on it. How many games played do you gents consider good for stats? minimum of 50? And on what level? Ai3?

And Dj, thanks for the suggestions in your last post. However, I don't have any eternities, or enough SoG's to make the Orion deck  :-X otherwise I'd give it a chance, maybe with a little tweaking for 1.29 like you said. And the trio you suggest looks nice, but I think for 30 card fast / grinding decks, I'll be sticking with my mono entropy. *le nod* I'm looking for my scarab deck to be for EM's against tough opponents. ;)

The Orion deck will work with Sancs since SoG got nerfed. Also the new deck is slightly better then the old one but seems a bit slow.

Well I can still tweak it a little of course. But I've gathered that it's hard to make a fast EM deck, and it's even more so with scarabs ;P It may be entirely possible that this is the best I can do for now.

Any suggestions to make it faster, good sir?

Minus one Bonewall and the Enchant Artifacts. Minus 1 fractal, it uses too much aether anyways.

I'm working on slimming (and making faster) your rainbow, without changing it completely. I think I've nearly achived this.

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4sa 4vo 4vo 52l 5c6 5c6 5c6 5f5 5lm 5lm 5lm 5lm 5rl 5rl 5rl 5ro 5rq 5rq 5rq 622 622 622 7q5 8ps

It's a shame I've got to go now, but I'll tweak this a bit more tommorrow.

@Ninetyfools: Once I'm done testing my deck as is, I'll give that a try and see if it improves things :)

@DJ: That's also an interesting deck, I'd love to give that a shot.. *Must..grind..bronze arena...win...eternity* >.<

haha, I think as a group effort, we've got a pretty good rainbow in the making.
