So I've come back to Elements once again because it's still the best free online ccg I have found, regardless of how much it makes me rage on occasion. After a few ragequit account resets, I've put together a deck of my own that seems to work pretty well. Now that I can focus on upgrading cards, rather than balancing my deck, I'm wondering how viable it will be in the future with upgrades and rare cards thrown in the mix. Can anyone tell me in their experience how much decks usually change crossing over to upgraded pvp? Are things like shards really vital for all decks to have? I'd rather not have to abandon this deck completely. Adding or subtracting anything from it seems to throw off the balance, so sticking a new rare card in it might mess things up. I guess I can at least keep it for fun in unupped pvp if it comes to that.

Here's what I came up with. Used to be Life/Death combo, then someone played Titanium Shield. >.<

in most upped pvp, decks are mostly speedbows based around supernova.
If you're going momentum scorps, why not momentum dune scorps? Neurotoxin is way deadlier.

Might try those sometime. Trying not to go over two elements if I can help it and shields are particularly annoying against scorpions. Does the extra card effect work with shields in play?

Edit: Wait, it poisons them when they play cards? Yup, totally using that. Might even cure my fear of fractaled devourers.

Yes, and that's why Neurotoxin is far deadlier.  I'd drop the Adrenaline if you decide to keep :life since the opponent will be more likely build up their own poison faster than you can deal it.

Its not directly related to helping your deck, but if you go to the Trainer (http://www.elementsthegame.com/trainer.html) you can test out different variations of this (and other) decks unupped/partially upped/fully upped without spending any of your hard earned electrum on a useless upgrade. If you have a card, and want to see how adding 1/a few affect the deck, give it a try in the trainer. You can't PvP, but AI3 is just fine for testing purposes.

I can vouch for the whole dune scorp/momentum thing, it is amazing! be sure to pack some reverse times so they have to redraw creatures.

I did make several test runs of the life version against the time version. The life one won everytime. The biggest problem with the time one is that it requires two cards (scorp and momentum) till the scorp deals damage and add marks. The life one uses only one card (scorp). And the life one have other sources which helps it: adren helps the scorps to add another counter (total 2 counters per attack) and it have heals.

I do agree that light is better for a dune scorp deck than gravity. A blessing is indeed better than a momentum. One exception is against a mono aether deck. 6 blessing and 6 sanctuary will quite well doing it.

Throwing in my opinion despite the danger of getting slightly OT:

that is why i keep telling people that blessing is a better choice, opens more options for stalling.

No, I must say that I don't agree at all. First, a deck with Blessing needs 3 quanta (2 upgraded) while a Momentum one needs 2 (1 upped) to get the poison to work. It's easier to power the latter off a mark or a (single, if upped) Nova - this is the reason why SPlat works well even in a quanta-scarce environment. Second, the number of shields blocking a one-time-blessed Dune Scorpion is not that low: Dissipation Shield/Field, Diamond Shield, Wings, Dimensional/Phase Shield. Wings just let me defeat a blessed dune scorps deck without taking any damage. Both Light and Time don't have any permanent control while Momentum bypasses any of these counters. The only additional stalling option which I can see are Light's healing spells (Miracle, Sanctuary, Luciferin, Holy Light), card drawing with Sundials and a better SoD - but at the cost of probably not being able to poison your opponent with neurotoxin at all.

Okay, that was a one-eyed rant - please regard it as an attempt at an antithesis. I didn't include the fact that a certain AI3 deck is making me go mad regularly ;)
