Pharaoh-Scarab Deck https://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php?topic=35101.msg442415#msg442415

It's been a long time since I've been here, but I'm finally playing Elements again.
Anyway, I absolutely love the Pharaoh cards even though they're not too great. I decided to make a deck based around them and the scarabs and I came up with this:

Hover over cards for details, click for permalink
Deck import code : [Select]
6rn 6rn 6rq 6rq 6rq 6rq 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q0 7q3 7q3 7q5 7q5 7q8 7q8 7q9 7q9 7q9 7qa 7qa 7qa 7qa 7qc 7qc 7qc 7qc 7ri 7ri 7ri 8pl

Before you ask...

No, it's not for PVP(doubt it'll even be decent at it).
No, it's not for farming(although it can pwn Miracle, Hecate, and a few other FGs)
Yes, it's just for fun.

Despite that, I want to improve it.
What can I add/remove without changing too much of the theme(Time/somewhat Gravity) while also helping the deck?
A couple more sundials? Less Scarabs? etc.

Right now I can't actually MAKE the deck on my account since I need some SoR(they didn't have these when I stopped playing), some other upgraded cards, and I would need two more Pharaohs. So I'm just testing it on the Trainer, where I've been able to beat most Half-Bloods and like I mentioned before, a couple FGs(specifically, the ones who have a bunch of low-HP creatures) which isn't amazing, but it's not as bad as I thought it would be.

The strategy needs work(and so does the deck), but the point is to use Sundials, Turtle Shields, and Hourglasses to stall for a while to get some Pharaohs, Scarabs, and SoR to fill your entire field with them and Devour everything in sight.

Enough rambling....what can I do to this deck just to make it better for...idk, general usability?

NOTE: Don't tell me remove the Pharaohs...because that's the whole point of the deck. It's just for fun anyway.

I'd remove the SoGs, which aren't very useful in a non- :life mark deck. When you get two more SoRs, put them in, or perhaps a Chimera for the kill at the game's end. The deck looks like it would work well, even maybe in PvP. :)

I see. I haven't been here in forever, so I just dropped those SoGs in and noticed they weren't as useful.
Thanks for the post :)

A chimera sounds like a nice idea because I usually found myself with over 20 scarabs and like two pharaohs in my hand(and 70 Time quanta!).

-SoGs. They're not useful when your mark isn't :life
-sundials. They don't really feel like they're very useful, but if you like it, you can keep it.

I feel more hourglasses or even some precognitions should be added to speed the deck up. Chimera can also be useful.

Looks like you'll have more :gravity than you'll need.

No no, just try it. You'll need much gravity to :gravity devour, and it's also needed when you need to use chimera.
This deck can eat almost everything that hits the field. Some exceptions are Armagios or Animated Titans (too much HP).
Sometimes i fill up the field with Scarabs, then cast Chimera, then a new Pharaoh with Shard of Readiness and start filling the field again, while being protected by Chimera's gravity pull.

This. Having a 40+/200+ Chimera with an army of scarabs is pretty awesome to do. And you definitely need a lot of Gravity, depending if your opponent has lots of creatures.

Anyway, I've found that my deck(the original with some modifications) has trouble with things like Discord, Jade/Fire Shields, and other things like that...basically, the deck sometimes desperately needs PC. Ideas?

I don't know, maybe a couple of gnome gemfinder could power a Pulverizer, and then there's enough gravity.
But i think that this addition could make the deck a lot more instable...

I'm not a pro, but that sounds pretty terrible actually :p

I would have to hope to get a Gnome....then hope it doesn't get killed...then wait for it to produce Quanta....then hopefully get a Pulverizer quickly enough...then get more Quanta....and NOW I'm ready to smash some Permanents.

I think I should just add some precogs/hourglasses to speed up the deck(like a poster has said) and if the opponent has a Gravity Shield(Do they even use that?), I always have a Chimera to fall back on.
