I see, so Luciferase costs Light, does it? ;)
Luciferin | Luciferase makes creatures produce light quanta, thus it belongs to Light. I would compare it to Pillars | Towers of each elements, they don't cost their own element quanta but they produce them. I would not compare it to 10|12 random quanta costing dragon which belongs to death ?

There are no cards in game that does not cost atleast 1 quanta belonging to the respective element either in upped or unupped form. Otherwise it should be an Other card.

To add to what Nepy said about Luciferase: Animate Weapon. 1 random.

Unupped Flying Weapon costs 1  :air.

no it doesnt get killed by holy flash.
its in the "others" section.
and may be dies 2/3 turns?

It says its a death creature (not Other). So it can be killed Holy Flash.
My real-life sucks. So i come online to compensate that.

Oh, and something that is engineered to DIE, triggers DEATH effects, and otherwise has no synergy with other elements is clearly OTHER. Other is only when you either have something meant to work with all elements (in extreme cases, not just like nova), or work with NO elements. This dragon works in Death, moreso than any other creature, so it BELONGS in Death.
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

I'd just like to note something for other people who read this thread : The cost of a card and the element of a card are two different things. The cost is Other. The element is Death. So Holy Flash kills it.
I see, so Luciferase costs Light, does it? ;)

QFT. Nik_V, if you could provide a valid reason why the theme of Decay/Zombies is fit for Other, I would agree to change the card.
Regarding Animate Weapon - The only simple buff that can be done here is to lower the cost, but 0-cost cards seem to be limited to creatures. Making the card cost Other as an upgrade appears to be an attempt to prevent abuse.

Tikotribe had the same argument, until I made a point that he never responded too. If I'm missing something here it would really help if you provided constructive criticism on how to improve the card rather than repeating what has already been said.
[...]
This with Nova is a 2-card combo at minimum.
Actually, that is the problem - and it's just like what I tried to point out earlier. The two current instant quanta effects are ridiculously fast as they are compared with other quanta sources; for immolation: golems, phoenixes; and for nova: all the low cost hitters/growing creatures that can pop out before the opponent can do anything.

Now, the possibility to drop several of these dragons(and even more if upgraded with the help of supernova) on the first turn, before anything happens is ridiculous.

It dies in 3 turns? So does the opponent..
I'd like to point out a different take on the "Other Dragon" (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,23533.0.html) that can come out on the first turn by itself, is immaterial, bypasses shields, and has the additional benefit of reducing enemy Max HP. The balancing argument is that you also take damage and would die - but so does the opponent, twice as fast.

So why is this card OP? The above card does not even need Nova and is far superior (it can drop several in the first turn without any other card), while this one does need Nova and doesn't come with any special abilities, rather it comes with a negative effect and is in an element where it can get killed by Holy Flash. Is there something I'm missing here?
Also the combo you pointed out is 3 cards - Nova, This, and RT. Repeating the combo for just 1 dragon seems somewhat inefficient. Wouldn't it be just easier to use a regular dragon for damage efficiency?

On that note, how would you nerf it?

perhaps if the hp was raised to be higher , but it still died in 4 turns. I am thinking something that costs 12 unupped and 24 quanta unupped, with 8l6 unupped that dies in 4 turns and 12l8 that dies in 5 turns. That would make it synergize more with nova and supernova.

i dont agree with 12|8 and dies for 5 turns.
i agree with 10|4 and dies for 4 turns.(8|4 un upped and dies for 3 turns)
but the 12|24 quanta seems good.

1) Because it is 'Other' it is very easy to have the Quantum to play this card.  I think the cost should be over 20/30.  Think of how fast you can play a Dragons, Aether is slow but immortal, Ruby is Fast but has 3 HP, ect...

2) I posted on the Void Dragon page also.

I think that would make it too UP... Perhaps something like 15~18
