Would this work if you didn't have the space?  Or would you draw UP TO 3|4 cards?

I'd drop the costs considering you have to discard some cards.  Maybe at least to 6|7 as I don't feel the additional card drawn deserves the +2 cost, as the damage is /random/.  Although this is somewhat abusable with expensive shields, I guess...

If there's not enough space to draw 3 or 4 cards, then you have to discard it also, since the hand is full. But why would anyone do that? It does less damage and it UPs the original card's effect. Thanks for suggestion, I will update it later.

Because you don't always have control over your deck.

But in order to draw, you need space in hand, as per the current coding.  That's why I brought that up.

Ok, I think this is how it goes. Assume your hand is full, you activate Xi. You have to discard one card first, before you can draw that card, the cost inflicts damage to the opponent. Then you discard another card, before a new card can be drawn, it damages the opponent and so forth.

BTW, when do you think it should be posted in the "Series"? When I'm fully complete with all 12 or what?

Hm, this seems a lot more balanced.

On a side note, what are you using for the art?

The art looks pretty sweet. Its hard to see the greek letter Xi though.

Mechanics wise this seems a little on the OP side. 3 card draw is a bit too powerful to couple with dealing damage equal to total cost.
If you drew 3 miracles that would deal 45 damage. 4 card draw is even worse. The relatively high cost and discard help a little but it just doesn't seem like enough.

Consider what would happen in a deck filled with mainly these, heavy cost cards, and just enough pillars / towers to cover. E.g. Dragons. Not only do you tear the opponent apart with the initial damage, but you get a bunch of heavy hitter cards on top of it.

One option would be to use the wording:"Draw 3 cards. Opponent takes damage based on thier combined cost. Discard a card."
Then you can scale the damage dealt to keep otk potential in check. (Something like catapult, but maybe a little stronger)

Alternatively, have the effect only deal damage based on the discarded card. E.g. you get 3 cards, you pick 2 to keep and one to fling at the enemy as damage. That way you get some effect from all of them and it forces the player to choose between future utility or an immediate damage output.

Another consideration is that the ability should take upgrade status into account if it is based on card cost. Upgraded cards should be worth at least as much as the unupped version (after all, the player shelled out 1500  :electrum for it). Unfortunately, many upped cards have a lower cost.

The card is interesting but I think it could use a little work before hitting crucible.

The program I use for the card art is an art website called FlamePainter. An awesome art program and the only one I know how to use lol.

It is hard to choose whether I should modify it because of opposing perspectives. I will leave it as it is for now. Also check Rho and Delta. I've got card art for them too now.

Ah flame painter. I know that one. Its a pretty cool app.
The art looks really cool, I just wish I could see the greek letter a little better.

Btw. GIMP (Graphical Image Manipulation Program) can do some pretty cool stuff.
Its an actual program you have to download and install, but its FREE :)
GIMP Website

The "Alpha to Logo" filter does some very cool stuff for this
I made the art for glyph of sorrow using just GIMP (the greek symbols are all available in various fonts and you can often just copy and paste into a text box)
