NOTES:
Echolocation: while in play, Sonar reveals the position of invisible creatures or permanents. It will only show a square corresponding to said object not what it is nor its status. However, said object would be target-able.

:air: Ultrasound - scrambles the opponent's quanta pools. Self explanatory it acts pretty much like discord. The main difference is that the effect is actively triggered. This means the summoning sickness delays the ability to scramble of one turn (making it less powerful). Moreover, it is a duo card thereby reducing the possibilties to use this card. Anyway, a denial :air/ :water wasn't done before

It could however change in the future. Anyway, this permanent works well with squid, freeze, permafrost and ice bolt

I don't like suggesting radical changes to cards, but I think Sonar Tech, is a little too modern-ish for a fantasy game.
Instead of using that kind of sonar why not this:

Turn it into a creature, named Dolphin / Elite Dolphin.
And apply Echolocation to that, Dolphins have the ability to produce Echolocation as well as a radar. here is small proof if you dont believe me: Dolphin Echolocation (http://www.dolphinkind.com/echolocation.html)

I totally believe you. In fact a creature Dolphin-like was my first Idea for the skills. However, Water has quite a lot of creatures from weak to strong whereas it has few permanent. I thought this would re-equilibrate a bit if I went with a Sonar as an object. On the other hand, I clearly understand your objection concerning the incompatibility between technology and fantasy. This could be easily solved by a nice steam-punk art IMO.

Perhaps you could call it, Sonar Pylon and find a steam punk looking image or even a highly sci-fi looking image, so then it makes it look more magical-steam-punkish like steam machine.
I would have done art for you, but I don't have the available resources right now.

I think it's balanced, as squids have such low HP.
Actually, I still say that it should be 2|1 because of the forced synergy.

Your summary is correct but you don't give any opinion ... Bad, Good?
You can already produce said 2 cards instant kill with shock wave. So I think it is considered as an acceptable mechanic. What this "machine" will bring is to give the possibility to do it repetitively. This said, without squid or permafrost the card is rendered almost useless. That's why I added this soft echolocation effect.

It's kind of specialized art I am looking for. I looked around but it's difficult to find something fitting and free of use. Zanz will probably find a way to make it look good if it ever goes to the game. For now, I'll rely on any gracious artist willing to spend the time to do it or I let it run under this form.
I could however change the name for it to sound more steam-punkish ... It still have to keep a relation to sound and to water .... Not easy. Some ideas: Ice Shocker, Echo gountlet, Waves Scan, ... I'm waiting for your propositions.

I do not have an opinion on balance for this kind of card yet. I will after this card though.

I thought the reasoning for the echolocation effect was sufficient such that it needed no further comment.

Interesting idea, goes quite well with Sylph (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21608.0.html). :P

Sylph is an :air Air card created by me that enters invisible and can grant invisibility to other creatures. This Sonar could disrupt that aid.
