Well, since it's immortal to everything except AoE, i'd say it needs an upkeep cost. it can't stay invisible unless there's :darkness around?
Perception is the source of misunderstanding.

Why, yes. I do have a Mindgate necklace. It's how I ninja everyone.

I agree with this, but other than that everything else seems fine

What about instead of upkeep it can only stay hidden if you have a certain amount of quanta so its basically upkeep but it gets refunded this could be accomplished by:

Giving it an upkeep and making it produce quanta equal to its upkeep the next turn instead of its normal upkeep.

Or have it take upkeep at the end of your turn then generate quanta at the end of your opponents turn.

Or you know a normal upkeep would be okay I guess.

Your Shade friends may want to meet the Dark Templar (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19949.0.html).  A drain cost to maintain invisibility would make sense, it would balance the card out very well.

I don't think an upkeep is necessary, but maybe a cost hike is.  Immortality does everything invisibility does and more, and Immortals don't require upkeep.

Oh, that's true.  Darkness isn't an especially quantum-heavy element, though - an upkeep would be somewhat trivial.

darkness is known for occasional devour spam, so an upkeep could be fit into there some how

Great card! I don't think any mono :darkness would have any problems covering an upkeep cost. If you're really worried you could tweak it so that its invisibility ability wouldn't kick in until it was cloaked, or even make it an activated cost...something like burrow.

My only real concern is that people *might* think the damage received is a glitch at first. All of a sudden you're taking an extra 4 or 5 damage per turn and you have no idea why? Personally I wouldn't have a problem with it (at least until I learned about the card) but I can see it causing confusion to some. Maybe you can only see it on the turn it's played, then it disappears?

Just mumblings from the corner. Good stuff :)

So, quick question.

The opponent doesn't see the card at all? Will they notice creatures avoiding the spot occupied by an invisible creature, or do I just completely misunderstand the mechanic? And will they see the hit by the creature?  Or just lose damage?

Cool idea for  :darkness though!  Has a great theme.

I play on low quality, so even though I've played opponents who have used Cloak, I don't know if numbers still show up, someone else will have to answer that.  You'll see the card played when it comes out of your opponent's hand, though - you just won't see a creature on the field.
