Is raise really the right name if it's effectivly killing the creature first? Otherwise decent card idea, isuppose.

From the way its worded I don't think it actually gets rid of the creature it just gives it a new ability and triggers death affects

Raise still doesnt make sense. The creature must be dead to be raised (thematically). The creature is not already dead, therefore the necromancer is killing and raising the creature, which I think needs a better name.
Maybe if it was called Sacrificial Rites or something, so that implies sacrificing something...
