I think the cost of the unupped should be raised to 2 and the unupped lowered to 4, at the current cost I think the unupped version should just include skeletons, not mummies. Good idea though, would love to roll out a huge skeleton army =)

I mentioned this elsewhere, but it bears repeating in this situation.

I'm a big fan of Death.  I saw how powerful it was in Magic: the Gathering, and anticipated having similar types of power here.  I quickly learned that such is not the case.  Cards like this will give Death some of the power that its fans (read: me) crave.

Would this cause your undead creatures to become delayed from the attack?  (think iridium/vanadium warden)  It might be too OP if it doesn't.

I like this idea.  Attack the player OR the player's creature this turn, but not both.
