Pride | Pride (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,26459) received a notable 3rd place only lagging behind by 1 vote. I kind of like it. I'm just not sure if always starting off with a shield is really 'fair'

The draw effect stacks, so you can get multiple shields in your starting hand if you're not careful.
The shield itself doesn't stack.

Kinda un-thematically  ; maybe a different shield effect, change element, etc. to make it fit thematically. For balancing, mebbe 50%~75% chance of it being in your starting hand, 100% of next 7 cards.

Actually, I like the eruption passive, metaphorically and thematically seems to fit with card drawing.
seems to be a good method of getting a shield immediately.

I love the idea, but why fire? I mean fire is about destruction, while this card is about making sure you get it. Doesn't seem to fit that way (Card and ability name fits, I love the art, but... Isn't it a flower ? )
Is the reasoning that fire lacks a shield with DR? Order and making sure about thing would fit gravity IMHO... And also lacks a shield with DR.

Well, when a Volcano erupts, lava comes out pretty quickly right? This shield is simulating the "eruption" at the start of the battle when a elemental starts fighting. DR is like when the lava hardens.

And yes, it does look like a flower but i tried to also make it look like a volcano w/lava around it.

The active ability (DR is passive) fits Gravity the best and Entropy the least.

So both would work IMO. Fire can be erupting, but not generally described in that way.

But no burning effect? It's ! I always recognize fire by their "explosive, destructive" abilities, not of their speed-drawing abilities, it's time abilities
