Gravity is the LITERAL representation of space. Aether is the space-time representation. In addition, Entropy is for chaos and Gravity is order, forming an obvious opposite. That leaves time and space (as in dimensions - Aether's type of space).
That's why I keep babbling about it. Seeing the time-space and chaos-order, then   :time ><  :gravity and  :entropy ><  :aether would make more sense. And isn't the one which represents order  :aether instead?

Currently,  :gravity doesn't seem to be focused on order based on the cards, it deals mostly with creature mass, so it seems more closely aligned with space.  :aether has immortality, which seems to be aligned with order, because  :entropy and chaos tends to increase with time, whereas  :aether is of another plane of existence, free from the restraints of time altogether...

Using your own logic, wouldn't that make it more of Time's opposite?

Yes, though I feel that  :gravity fits better than  :aether. I could also argue that since  :time is time itself, it can also be considered eternal, whereas  :entropy is ever-changing, making  :entropy and  :time opposites (leaving  :gravity governing matter and forces, and  :aether governing energy and dimensions).

Just a note :  :rainbow isn't a real element.

Patch's diagram is actually one Zanz made when vrt interviewed him some time ago, so those are the current element standards.

Other than that, good to see that this card still has some life in it. I might try for a remake at some point.

Just to clarify, Zanz cited it for reference during the interview. I believe it was originally concept art and therefore was made before the game was officially developed, not when vrt interviewed him.

Obviously. Whether an idea is kicked out or not depends how many worse ideas are in the crucible to be kicked first and how many more popular ideas or "needed" (for the meta-game) ideas need to be moved up first. Not to mention that many balance-able ideas aren't voted on because the state they are in is not balanced. (I'd go into how Zanz doesn't need us to balance cards for him and how we should only judge on the mechanic alone, but that's for an entirely different topic.)

Interesting idea. I'm not sure if 3 cost is enough though if it produces 3 Quantum. As for the selecting of different Elements, I think having Marks be the only thing that can be selected would debuff it but might balance it. Assuming I read it right and you can choose which Element any time you want.
