Is the angel generated in your hand or your field?

On the field.
By making this card you've obsoleted regular angels then.
"obsoleted"? Lol.

Anyways, to play a Guardian Angel, all you need is 3 :light quanta. At the end of the turn, it deals 1 damage, OR, you can buff it any which way, for example using Rage Potion to make it deal 6 damage. Alternatively, if you buffed it with Quintessence, your opponent cannot target it next turn.

To activate Divine Protection, in addition to the 3 :light quanta required to play Divine Protection, you need to have a creature you can play. This makes the card up to 1 turn slower, either because auto-mulligan gave you a hand full of photons or because you don't have enough quanta to play your dragon. After playing Divine Protection, your Guardian Angel does not deal any damage at the end of your turn simply because it doesn't exist yet. There isn't even anything to Rage Potion or Quintessence. This makes Divine Protection yet another turn slower than a Guardian Angel. Then, when Divine Protection is proc'd, a Guardian Angel finally appears; a Guardian Angel perfect for your opponent to Reverse Time or Freeze.

In conclusion: Divine Protection doesn't make Guardian Angel obsolete, it makes Fractal and Mitosis obsolete but only in their use with Guardian Angel.

wow, looks amazing Emerald, as always, anyways on to the card, I still dont find so much of a usage in this card, unless you have like red nymphs... Any real shield stops this dead, and the space screws you over, also would the angels be generated at the end of the turn or when you play your creature?

Thanks a bunch, ET! :D I feel like the yellow is a bit too much, but there's no need change it; I can desaturate it myself.

I'd put the cost at 5 | 8/9

Your reason being...?
Think of it like a slower Aflatoxin that doesn't sacrifice a creature or kill an enemy creature. From this description, it should cost much less than Aflatoxin, so why 5?

End of the turn, after all your creatures attack (and before your opponent attacks).

If this card is still going next month I can try to replicate the original "stairway to heaven" like artwork in Bryce... I won't have time till then though.
Whether the glass is half full or half empty is a moot point. It is always filled to the brim. It is only a matter of by what. The real question is: What fills you?

That's okay, ET's art is sufficient. ^^; It would also be bad if you made it and I didn't like it...

So, anyone want to take Drake's place and argue for a cost increase? I still don't think it needs it, but if enough people sufficiently retort my points...
