Wait, isn't "Striped" a passive skill in Zebra?? (I mean your card :P ) Because if that's the case, then ANY creature (even those without skills) can be Stripped...

This card suggestion is suggesting an Active Striped ability given by a Luciferin like spell.
Zebra is suggesting a Passive Striped ability given on the Zebra creature.

I think giving all your creatures a passive ability like this would be OP. i made it active in this card to balance it out more.

Zebra stripes are part of their natural skin, here we are adding stripes to otherwise non striped creatures. So while the zebra's stripes cant be removed, here the stripes can be removed, much like you can wash off paint.

I kinda think that the upped should be 2 :life. It doesn't seem like you'd have much trouble getting out 20 creatures, especially with a :life deck. I do enjoy the Zebra/Painted Stripes combo though.

Ok, I get it now. I guess it could be implemented but not if Zebra is too... I mean, the fact that it would have to take in account both the creatures with Stripped as passive and as active skill, and even the possible bugs this+Zebras in play could generate (counting them as 2 Stripped creatures) might be a problem.
Leaving that away, this may be OP. I mean, with 4 non-skilled creatures out you're already making them half immune to damage, not to mention that bigger ones would get more benefits (I dare you to kill 1 Stripped Emerald Dragon when there are 4 Stripped creatures out), and that 9 creatures would already be half immortal. I don't say the idea is OP, just that it may need an increase in the cost.

I have two options. I can increase the cost. or i can change the avoidance build up.

right now it is (1-.75^(x-1))
X being the number of striped creatures.

I could easily make it (1-.9^(x-1))  or (1-.8^(x-1)) etc. Since this spell allows immediate avoidance chance on casting, i think i could probably lower the avoidance added per creatures.

On a side not though, this is meant to help life more than other elements, life, i believe, has the most number of skill-less creatures.

IDK, I prefer an increase in the cost, because, as you said:
this is meant to help life more than other elements
So, making it more quanta intensive would encourage its use in mono-life decks.

But what I fear, is uber-hard mono-life rush decks. I mean, mono life is already cool, just balanced but because it's prone to CC. If for 1 :life you could solve that, it would be helping Life a bit too much maybe. If you made it cost more than that, maybe it would make the mono rush a bit slower, so as to balance it.
Also, rushes doesn't need any more loving :P

hmmm, this is difficult cause i dont play life rushes. so im not sure what their quanta balance looks like. I could increase the upped cost to 2. I think that combined with the fact any deck that took this card would probably have to take multiple copies, would limit its use in rushes, cause you are taking up spots that could be used for creatures, or mitosis or adrenaline.

I actually think this card i much more useful for life stalls, because you can combine a lot of hard to kill creatures with feral bonds and  have a good source of healing.

Why not invert it? I mean the "smaller" (less hp) creatures get bigger evasion?
>smaller = harder to see, right??  :P :P :P

it'd be fun to see RoF on frogs with a lot of "Miss"  :))

Hmmm, Invincible RoL/Hope anyone?

It definitely needs a nerf, because it can easily be abused. I like the concept though.

actually this version (the spell version) grants creatures an active ability, so a creature could not have both bioluminescence (the light producing skill) and striped at the same time.

That would be more of a problem with Zebra (the creature specific version) which is a passive ability. but the cost of 6 zebras would make setting up an invincible hope with Zebras and luciferins quite difficult and time consumming.
