First a clarification: as per the title, the bug is not the fact that the Neurotoxin counters were removed, but rather the effect of Neurotoxin, i.e. the increasing counter for every new card played.

This has happened to me a couple times in Arena now, as I'm running a SPlat version. What happens:
  • I apply Neurotoxin with a Blessed Dune
  • AI plays Purify to get a Purify counter of +2
  • AI doesn't get any more Neurotoxin counters by playing new cards and doesn't take any damage
  • I apply Neurotoxin with the Blessed Dune for two turns, bringing both the Purify counter and Neurotoxin counter to 0. Normally this is when you'd see the yellow Neurotoxin counter at 0, but instead there is no counter at all.
  • Here's the weirdest part: by playing a new Blessed Dune, the AI gets the Neurotoxin counters back, but they start out at the amount they should have considering all the past hits. At this point the Neurotoxin counters may become invisible if more Neurotoxin and Purify is applied, but they will take increasing damage, proving they do have Neurotoxin.
Here's a screenshot I took a bit too late, but that's a Blessed Dune the AI is Rewinding with Eternity.

Yep, I can confirm this too. I just realized that this is quite an old bug because I've reported more than a year ago here (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,13817.msg186391#msg186391).

However, at that time I thought the bug was pretty severe. Now I'm pretty sure this is just a visual bug. The neurotoxin counter won't appear until the opponent is hit with another successful attack from a dune scorpion.

I would've agreed to it being a purely visual bug until step 5 happened.

AI doesn't take any Neuro damage or effect from the original Dune, but the counters and effect return when I play a new one? Just weird.

Actually, I'm confuse when you say this. In point 5 you mentioned that the AI indeed took some damage while there was no counters visible. Or did I get that wrong?

I see it as a visual bug because the damage happened normally but there was no counters visible. To further clarify what I'm trying to say, let me try to explain using your example:

1. I apply Neurotoxin with a Blessed Dune. OK
2. AI plays Purify to get a Purify counter of +2. OK
3. AI doesn't get any more Neurotoxin counters by playing new cards and doesn't take any damage OK, purify played. No neurotoxin.
4. I apply Neurotoxin with the Blessed Dune for two turns, bringing both the Purify counter and Neurotoxin counter to 0. Normally this is when you'd see the yellow Neurotoxin counter at 0, but instead there is no counter at all. AI got neurotoxin'd again. First visual bug: counters disappear.
4.5  Subsequent turn(s), AI still has neurotoxin because no purify been played. Damage is taken and it will increase each time a new card played. Second visual bug: Counters still invisible.
5. Here's the weirdest part: by playing a new Blessed Dune, the AI gets the Neurotoxin counters back, but they start out at the amount they should have considering all the past hits. The counters suddenly appear again and it is the correct number.
6. Repeat from point 2 if necessary.

Right. Again, it took no Neurotoxin damage or effect while the first Dune was hitting. I had to play a new Dune for the counters to return, and they did so at 4 counters, as if the previous counters were applied retroactively. It's not until this point that the AI starts taking damage from Neuro again.

Ah.. I see. I've never seen this before. Probably, it did happen to me but I didn't notice it. lol
I'll try to watch for this the next time I play SPlat.

It's not a bug, only the counters doesn't appear

1. purify is played
2. opp is nt'ed again but when there are no purifycounters anymore the counter will disappear but nt still does it's job
3. ai goes on playing lots of cards (poison counter is unseeable but is goes on growing)
4. you spawn a new scorp + momentum (or something else ofcourse) and BAM! you see he gets 25 nt counters at once

so it doesn't get it's counters back, it only shows it's new amount of counters

If you're weak, then run, but toward your enemy

I've found a different  bug with neurotoxin:
AI plays purify, gains two counters
My scorp hits and reduces that to 1 counter
AI plays extra cards and starts gaining neurotoxin counters.
That's how it's supposed to work

No, why would your poison count increase when you aren't nt'd and play cards?
Firstly, a visual bug is a bug. Secondly, I'm not reporting a visual bug. If you actually read my post before you comment, you'll see Neuro didn't do any damage when it was supposed to.

No, it's that the opp isn't nt'd even if the dune scorpion hits and he has no neurotoxin counters, until you summon a new dune and nt the opp with that (which somehow nts the opp).

You can have a +1 neurotoxin counter.

It would be a bug if :
1) you nt it
2) it plays purify
3) it plays cards and gains nt counters.
