Ok just let me wade in here with one comment.

In the history of CCG there have been many cards with Attack and Hp these are portrayed by 3|2 or such.

In every other game it is said you get or gain +1|+1 or -1|-1 it does not state loses as that is more confusing to people.

ie. (mtg)  Afflict, Instant, Target Creature gets -1|-1 til end of turn.

Just so we can tidy this up and fit within what everyone else is doing is what Demagog is getting at.

Thanks

Scyther
I've never played MtG, so I wouldn't know. I played Yu-Gi-Oh a long time ago, and things were worded by "loses '#' defense."

Thanks for explaining this, as "loses -1|-1" didn't really sound right to me either. I'll fix that right up...

Wow.. first time I see this thread and already it's full of very cool ideas.

I love that Boomerang idea, although it might be a bit overpowered as it looks to be the ultimate deck-out prevention tool. Very cool idea though.

I think Bloodshadow's card breaks the rule #1 and maybe #7. It generates a "Shade", a creature that does not exist in Elements, therefore basically combining two different ideas. It's unfair if one contestant can use this kind of method to get more depth into his/her idea.
It'd probably be balanced if it had an 80% chance of returning to your deck...

I was going to enter something into this contest but Pixlr crashed on me (for the second time). I'm afraid me and my Trickster's Staff are not participating in this contest. :) I no longer trust Pixlr, and will stick to Paint.NET for the rest of my graphic needs.

Good luck to all the rest of you contestants!

If anyone needs help with making a card or is unable to do it themselves, I'll help you out.  Feel free to send me a pm or catch me on Elements chat.  I love the card template and have no problems using it.  Please provide your own art tho...

:P

Nah, I shan't trouble you or bog you down with mediocre ideas. :) Thanks for the offer, though.

I just made a thread for discussion about the boomerang.

But I think of a fix for being "the ultimate deck-out prevention tool".
Boomerang can be targeted by ANY target-able spell or ability(e.g Heal, Mutate, Thunderbolt, Drain Life, Bless, Quicksand & etc).  Upon being targeted, boomerang is destroyed.  Does not apply for "Steal" (card & ability), "Improved Steal", "Flying Weapon" or "Animate Weapon".

All elements have targeting spells or abilities.  Boomerang is vulnerable to them even if they are not permanent destruction spells/abilities.

Playing the targeted card does not incur any additional quanta cost. (whether or not you have it available) Instead you pay a life cost proportional to its quanta costThe targeted card is used up, and is no longer on top of the targeted deckThe life cost is payed after the spell resolvesIf it is a spell that requires additional targeting and is canceled (unwanted or uncastable) the life cost is still applied

@ftbhrygvn, i'm a little confused as to how this works...

wouldn't its ability create a new weapon, and then that weapon would just be played over the first?

It stacks like Bonewall does. So use the ability once and you have a 2X stack of Aether Swords dealing 1 damage each. When you Animate one and use its ability, it creates another flying Aether Sword.
