I'm not sure if I'll participate, but I do have a clarifying question: Are cryptids valid entries, since they are folklore (related to mythology)? Examples inlcude the Yeti, Chupacabra, and Jersey Devil.

Yes - 'folklore' is technically Mythology, so you're good.

I think it would be easier if you just include the 'reference' within the NOTES section of the original template. Either way, just use the basic card table, as we don't need to make any other tables for this competition. ^^;




Also - while I like the amount of 'card claims' and previews of concepts, I don't judge if people have similar references (cards based on a specific mythology), but I will point out people that do try to copy mechanics from one another. Please also submit the cards and/or links to the areas provided in the opening post (under 'IMPORTANT'), or else I may not be able to see them in time for qualifying them. Thanks!

Would cards that are linked to mythological creatures but not DIRECTLY mythological creatures count? I mean, Basilisk Blood is no Basilisk, so would, say, Ares' Shield or Hercules' Lion Skin work for this competition? Just looking for inspiration here.

ART: Dramore IDEA: Dramore NOTES: In Greek mythology, the Ophiotaurus was a creature that was part bull and part serpent. Its sole reference is found in Ovid's Fasti (3.793 ff), where the creature's entrails were said to grant the power to defeat the gods to whoever burned them. The hybrid was slain by an ally of the Titans during the Titanomachy, but the entrails were retrieved by an eagle sent by Zeus before they could be burned. The creature emerged from Chaos with Gaia and Ouranos. The Ophiotaurus was probably placed in the heavens as the combined constellations Taurus and Cetus (bull fore-parts with a sea-monster tail), alongside the lyre Lyra and the altar Ara. And the sacrifice of such an innocent creature could bring with it great power. The way this would translate into the game is by either giving a massive boost to either quanta or card adavantage.I chose the quanta adavantage with giving plenty of time to counter the sacrifice of such an innocent creature.
