NOTES:
A possessed creature gains a symbol ( :darkness), just like adrenaline and the like.
A possessed creature can not use it's ability during the owner's turn.
Instead, the opponent can use it's ability during his turn.
quanta is taken from the one who uses the ability*, not the owner of the creature.
Targeting is done by the user of the ability.
The remaining is done for the owner of the creature (gravity nymph, time nymph...)

Currently, automatic skills are unaffected*.

*not sure about this, this may change.
the card may be UP because it is unlikely you have the target quanta. But it could be OP if it used the opponent's quanta, or no quanta at all. maybe using random quanta would be the best solutian.

I really like the idea of this one. Might even be viable in rainbows.

Ideas.
Un upped I think you should lover play cost with 1.
Upped I think you should lover the ability cost with 1.
Would be cool if the ability name was changed to Haunt, even if it doesn't' fit as good as posses.

How about being able to use the opponent's creature ability for free? That should make the card more flexible to more combos. Besides,  :darkness has a habit of getting other people's stuff for free.

Would this render the possessed creature's ability un-usable on the opponent's turn considering that active abilities on the opponent's field are reset after the opponent's turn? (I think)

A possessed creature can not use it's ability during the owner's turn.

that means, that, against activated abilities, you at least have a lobo.

I think that a possessed creature's ability costing :rainbow is the best solution.
I'll put up a poll for it.

IF the ability would stay the same you could still use steal on your opponents pillar pends to get the quanta.

So the best creature to possess is actually a banshee, because you don't lose anything and you get rid of your opponent's creature at the same time, while the ability is free/random...

Really evil idea: possessed abilities use your opponent's quanta
This^, to me, makes the most sense. I don't think that using the opponent's quanta would be too OP, considering that ability costs are generally low. (As well as the fact that you wouldn't be able to use the ability if the opponent didn't have the required quanta, discouraging the use of Devourer in tandem with Wraith [two denial cards]) As for the costs, I'd say they're pretty balanced.

(very late) bump.

reset the poll to add serprex' idea.
results: 'actual cost': 2; 'other': 3; 'free':3

also added an idea to include targeting permanents.
If anyone is worried about being unable to 'posses' permanents,
we will change the name to 'haunt'.

I'm personally not sure about using opponent's quanta.
In some cases, this will be very strong (otyugh, purple nymph, arctic squid...)
However, if you are not able to actually use the ability... lobo would be so much better.
The amount of decks that have abilities you want to use is limited anyway.

I'm personally still leaning towards having it cost :rainbow...
perhaps with a cost increase, having it use opponent's quanta isn't so bad...

Definitely an ugly combo with cloak...

Do you use your own quanta or your opponent's quanta when you use the possessed creature's ability?

If you use your opponents quanta that would be... well... that just kinda hurts my head balance wise... but I would have to roll on the floor laughing as I ate my opponents creature with their own otyugh using their gravity quanta :D
