What if your opponent had spine carapace or frozen shield, and when you attacked your "future status" would be poisoned or frozen? How far out in the future does this go? Wouldn't you just instantly be frozen or poisoned because that would essentially be your next future status?

Since attack is skipped when target creature slips into future, effect of the shield is ignored

What about rewording it to:
"Target creature is unaffected by effects or damage for one turn."

And for the upgraded version, how about skipping ahead to the draw phase:
"Draw the card at the bottom of the deck."

Unless you wanted to tie it with Reverse Time and Eternity, and since you actually don't know what the last card is:
"Move the top card of the deck to the bottom."

this is different from making target creature unaffected. It won't be affected by any new effects or damage but any current effect on the target will just proceed 3 turns whenever you play this card

When I made the upgraded version, I did think that it should be used against Reverse Time or Eternity which usually act as draw denial. But even myself think that ability is a bit redundant so I give that power to another card "Book of Prophecy"

So, will the upgraded version's secondary effect affect only the user?

Seems like an adrenaline that can also work on permanents. I am kind of split over my support of the card but I will say that the bottom card/top card switch of the upgraded form seems too different from the unupgraded. I suggest either put on both or remove on both.

Why would Sundial disappear?  It doesn't target a creature, but the entire field.

Because sundial has a "lifespan" of one turn only.

It is already destroyed after 3 turns and this card brings the sundial to its "destroyed" status
