I want to design fantasty card~~~

I redownloded the template and double checked my work to see if I was missing anything.  I started with the top layer and deleted all the layers one by one.  The only backgrounds I found were the one for darkness, the translucent one for upped cards, and the checkerboard background.  Would you mind using GIMP 2.6 (There's a link to it on this thread) and deleting all the layers except one of the non-darkness backgrounds?  A general explanation of how you got to that point would be nice also.

EDIT:I should probably elucidate on getting to download GIMP 2.6. The link under "WARNING! You need adobe Photoshop or some other software..." Takes you to a website that will let you download GIMP 2.4.7.  The download button is defunct and redirects you to a site where you can download the latest GIMP-2.6.

Why this happens when I download it and open it with Photoshop.A window will pop up Saying: AMT Subsystem Failure.The  licensing subsystem has failed catastrophically.You must reinstall or call customer support.I'm not allowed to tweak applications,so what am i gotta do? pls send me PM! and can I use ACDSEE?It can open this files,but i don't know how to delete the layer

ok - i've read this over and over an i have no clue how to make cards like this
some clear facts:
1. i do not have PS
2. if i did have it - i suck at using layers in programs
3. im good at using paint ^^


so when i make cards is it alright to make them in paint?? i can make them look pretty much the same as the others with no problem
i will use the image of the ones already made (in the crucible) to get effects/font etc

Attached is a new version of the template. I changed the upgraded gradient to be as close to what is portrayed in the actual game. There are two different gradients - one big diagonal gradient and one horizontal gradient across the top. They both have different opacity levels, so they each have their own layer in the file.

In my card (saved for web as png24), the top corners are not transparant (but the bottom ones are).
Did I screw up somewhere?

Sounds like you have a problem with your PS install. Also sounds like it's a cracked one?
Can you PS without a file, or open other files with it?
