if i remember correctly, ideas like these have been shot down in the past because of zanz's unwillingness/lack of desire to add a 'card graveyard' type of code to keep track of destroyed cards.
Then there is no other way to use this thematically?

Really? Speaking about coding, this card's coding is really simple. The only fact that changes is that the game itself needs a new variable, let's say "lastDeadCreature" just with the code of the last dead creature. And a simple (like 1 code line) modification to the kill function that say "lastDeadCreature = thisCreature". And voila. It's not a creature graveyard, just 1 single creature.

I like the idea, but cost should be 3 :life at least.

I remember seeing a chat quote from Zanzarino saying something along the lines of:
"A discard pile..
It's just so...
We can do better than that."
(Damn the search engine.  I would find it otherwise.)
Personally, I agree.  I guess that you could use it to respawn a strong Vulture, or maybe to make a Retrovirus chain, but, other than that, I don't see much use for it.

Also: Because any dead creature would have 0 HP, and a copy of that would attack one time and then die (and I assume that this isn't what you intended), how much HP would a reanimated creature have?  Something according to the creature's specific HP, possibly X turns before death?  Maybe the HP on the card text?

But the problem is, in that case, it wouldn't be a "copy" like the card says; that would be more like the wording of Reverse Time that I am too lazy to find.

True, but think about this: There would be new game strategies in CC --> Spirit well. Or another one: Voodoo, BB, GP. When voodoo dies, i resurrect it (in the last state it was before dying), gamaging the oponent as if it was a TU.

I think this card is interesting but it lacks something (i don't know what, though).
Maybe it's a little unpractical?
I think that it would be clearer if it worked like mitosis.
 When a creature dies, the ability change in  :life :life:<creature>. For example, if a Maxwell Demon dies, Spirit Well ability become  :life :life:Maxwell Demon.

However this mechanic is a little different than yours, since it memorize the first dead creature and it will not change anymore.
But this also enables more strategic choices, and also your opponent can try to disrupt your strategy by killing a creature that you don't need.

I believe that ideas that involve dead/discarded cards are not implementable at this point because the game doesn't keep track of used cards. Many ideas like this have been suggested numerous times but got rejected due to that fact.

Although... it wouldn't be that hard to just code it in..

Personally I'm really for cards like this. If there's ONE thing :death doesn't have is reincarnation ability.

Zanzarino doesn't want a card graveyard (which, by the way, refers to a discard pile). This does not involve a card graveyard. Rather, it involves a single variable. I support this idea.
