TYPE:

TEXT:

ART:
Seagull: Dr Joseph Valks http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/view_photog.php?photogid=902
Herring Gull: Matt Banks http://www.freedigitalphotos.net/images/view_photog.php?photogid=112
IDEA:

NOTES:
submerged means under water.
fish then works exactly the same as devour.
this creature is also airbourne.
SERIES:

additional notes on flavour/deck ideas/why it helps flooding etc.

- does this work as a stand alone?
yes. Air has dragonfly for same cost, but the Gull cannot create quanta and is harder to kill (HP and drown resistance).
- does it help flooding?
sure, air/water(/death) combo, eat things in the water, which would be creatures just played into the flood, water creatures, and malignant cell.

more notes may follow, is pretty obvious to see how you'd use this card, but any extra ideas/combos just say and I'll post :)

I like it, however, A 2:1 attack/quantum ratio is pretty big..
And you forgot to mention the artist on the second card.
Overall, great idea and concept.

thanks!
you mean 2 attack for 1 quantum for Herring Gull? It's the buff for the fact it's the upgraded version.
I'm not so sure about this card, very situational, don't you think?

I like this one better: http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,21201.msg289398#msg289398
but a mix might be possible.

indeedy!  I think that one might be perhaps the nicer mechanic (more immediate growth/satisfaction), but do feel it's an Air creature, not Water. Perhaps rather than the standard +1|+1 scavenger (imo should only belong to Vulture in the game), it should be something like "greedy: gain +1|+0 for each drowned creature"? once they get a taste for your chips they always come back for more! (at least in the UK...)

surprised Werdbooty hasn't submitted that for the challenge, been offline for a while?

NB: I actually commented on that card, completely didn't remember that, perhaps it  subconsciously influenced me coming up with this card? (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,6851.24.html)
