I must be missing something.  Why would i include this in my deck instead of an extra pillar?

Well nevermind i guess it shrinks down the deck like precognition does.

Essentially it allows you to get pillars out quicker, and if it pulls a tower the card pays for itself.
If you think it too weak it could draw 2 pillars/towers

I keep going back and forth on whether i think its too weak or too strong, so i guess its about right :p

On the one hand, comparing it to precognition, you might consider raising its cost slightly.  This card has the advantage (well i think its an advantage) of forcing your draw to be a pillar.

On the other hand, its more limited than precog, since you have to have emerald pillars in your deck.  And of course you don't get precognition's view of your opponent's hand.

Draw power tends to be the domain of  , so there may be some resistance to the card on that front.

either make it a permanent with duration/upkeep or have it pull two pillars standard and three in the upgraded. either way.

Hmm add 2 Emerald pillars|towers to your hand. (also minus the "from your deck")

this might be useful if you add in a mechanic which makes this always appear in your starting hand. (i think this was zblader's mechanic originally, but i may be mistaken)

Example: I have one Aether Pillar, i use Overgrowth, it generates a copy of that pillar, for the upgraded version have it generate two copies
