Encumber implies a burden to the target, typically when something is encumbered it is weighed down. I don't really see time going with it. The effect is cool, but the name is all wrong.
If I had an ability called encumber it probably be something closer to:
Encumber: Raise the activation cost of the target's ability by 1.

I'll switch the name of the ability to "Tether" -- open to other suggestions.

And apparently Xamuel's post was a joke. Good one, lol. I'm afraid I'd never heard of that game before.. ^^;

I'd prefer that Ouranos | Cosmic King would be :aether instead of :gravity, because :aether isopposite of :time.
Time represents the flowing, Aether the immutable.
Resisting the reverse time is totally fitting aether for me.
Even a :gravity creature with an :aether ability could fit, or viceversa ( :aether creature with :gravity ability, but this is the option i prefer less).
