This has probably come up before (I'm kinda new to forum stuff so this place is a bit confusing) but my idea is for a non element specific card. Now bare with me I haven't thought of any balancing issues so it may suck or be OP but anyway.


Name: Colourless Void.
Cost: 14 random quanta of 1 element
What ever element it takes it becomes that type and gains an ability that a creature of that element has (could be random or pre-set)
Attack and hp: Depends on the element ex: fire higher attack lower hp
Looks: Umm awesome looking void thing maybe? And takes the colour of what ever quanta it takes.


That's the basic premise of it open to any ideas or suggestion. But most importantly tell me what ya think good, bad, been said etc.

So why not just make a set of 12 Voidwalker cards or such that cost 14 quanta of an elem...

Dragons + Abilities = those things.

...so, really... not a very good idea, there.

I'm not too fond of the idea..

But I think it should be more other-cards.
And some other creatures.

Nice idea, non element/other creatures and cards have come up before and we are working on trying to get some that are good enough to incorprate into play.

OK so back to your card:

Colourless Void: Nice name but hard to see it as a taker, a void usually removes something or is nothing so is difficult to see how that would fit, Doppelganger or CHangeling maybe.

14 Random Quanta of one Element? Basically you are saying 14 Quanta of one Element?
The main difficulty I have is with such a high cost what are you going to get?
ie. I get one of these does it turn into a Dragon with 12/3 or an Asheater at 1/2 even with abilities that is a huge stretch of resource.

Keep up the good work and bring your ideas to the party, at the end of the day we can work together to find a solution.

Well all of it is up for interpenetration if a smaller cost would fit it better thats fine the main thing I was putting out here was just the idea of a non element card that changes or adapts to whatever it takes. And keep in mind I came up with this idea overnight so with more effort I could have probably come up with something better XD

Personally I think the cost would be better at 8 Quanta and you get random creature 4|4 to 8|8 with a relelvant ability. SOmething like a Fate egg I suppose but with a bit more umph specific to your deck.

is Fate Egg hatches an Otyugh and you have no Gravity to use its ability, this becomes a Creature whose ability is activated by your Quanta so is more useful.

Just a on the side note, if you get a creature like Devourer which uses Earth as its ability does this ability come into the mix when you use this on Dark Quanta or does it only choose from abilites that use that Quanta.

I like the idea espicailly for an overnight job. Keep it up and look at the threads on how to make the cards, you'll find it's easier than it looks.

I'll work over my idea and try to make some card art no sure how it'll turn out and I'm fairly new to this game so balance issues will probably be there but thanks all for the feed back

Loose Idea. Requires Development.

Blank Elementals could be those that haven't been aligned to an energy yet. Suggesst 0|1 for 0 with an Activated Ability similar to Hatch maybe called "Alignment" or "Takeform" This ability costs an amount yet to be determined but for each Quanta drained the Creature gains an Ability and/or a Stat Value. Mono-type absorbtions will be more powerful due to a lack of redundancy. Once changed the last Ability given determines Name and Element border. Minor-(Element-Type)-Kin

 :aether - Immortal - (+3|+1)
 :air - Dive - (+3|+1)
 :darkness - Vampire - (+4|+0)
 :death - ??? - (+2|+2)
 :earth - Burrow - (+0|+4)
 :entropy - ??? - (+D7-2|+D7-2)
 :fire - Ablaze - (+5|-1)
 :gravity - Gravity Pull - (-1|+5)
 :life - Growth - (+2|+2)
 :light - Heal - (+1|+3)
 :time - ??? - (+1|+3)
 :water - ??? - (+2|+2)

Variance per buff 30%(-1|+1) 40%(+0|+0) 30%(+1|-1)
Minimum Values 0|1

Another Variation on the Idea with Blanks.

1 version for each Element
Cost 1 Base and D15 of Quanta from the same element type or as much is left.
Creates a Creature from the element type used based on extra Quanta Available.
Could also use the 1+ 1 for every 5 Quanta of that element type to make it mono-friendly

Eg. Light.
Amt Absorbed - Result
0-1 = Photon
2 = Guardian Angel
3-4 = Guardian Angel or Pegasus
5-10 = Pegasus
11+ = Golden Dragon

10% Chance - Lightkin Elemental - X|X where X is Quanta Absorbed and Produces X/3 Rounded Up  :light Quanta Each turn.
