Religion of Other

I've been working on this religion series and so far doing ok I suppose but have noticed that Other seems to get missed out a lot so have added this one to the mix.

So here goes nothing on an Other based card, the cost of the ability is also any 3 Quantum, unfortunately there is no Mark to show that and I haven't made one for it either.

yeah, this one isn't too OP like some of the others... frankly i'd prefer if they didn't have shield effects.. but that's your call

Yes definately some of the others are OP but they are works in progress and when I have finished the set I will post the new remade balanced cards all up at once to view.

I like the fact that they shield but am unsure as well, I considered that some of the Gods may actually have attack abilites some may have heal etc, but so far have just gone with shield,

yeah.. if it's more diverse is good.. if it is a stackable small shield + ability.. it seems a little bit stretched...

I think I will leave this one as is and change the others to more match their current ELements, I would say that each element would have a battle technique in their background which these Gods could have that would help.

ie Dark: Nightfall, all Dark/Death gain +1|+1 as the Gods hand covers the sun.

or something like that.

I'm assuming that shield's ability is only able to be activated once per turn, because you could play/protect this on turn one with a nova, and play a couple of Quantum Towers and completely lock down any creature deck that doesn't involve Quintessence or innate immaterial critters. Either way, it's OP.

Not too overpowered, I'm presuming it can only be activated once per turn. Sort of like a Procrastination effect that can be targetted. Or, more accurately, a shield with congeal/freeze.

Perhaps call it Monochromatic Lady Or Achromatic One

Ok so to clarify for you all yes it can only be activated once per turn. The big 3 by the Neutrality is the cost of 3 random Quanta for the ability of freezing the opponents creatures.

Monochromatic Lady just doesn't roll off the tongue like Gray Lady.   

You're probably going to want to increase the cost since it's like an Arctic Squid but more flexible since it can draw from any element.  And yes, I know you intend them to be rare, but so is Arctic Squid and who doesn't have a couple of these laying around........If the cost does not increase somehow, a rainbow deck will feel naked without one of these.  It's a bit OP as is.

Hmm good advice that is why I left it at 3 for both of the Cards rather than lower the cost for the upgrade.

I would say that raising the cost of the normal card to 5 and the upgrade to 4 would at least stop the whole 1 quantum tower to activate issue.

As well as lifting the cost of the creature to 11 for normal and 13 for upgrade which would help with some issues. (4 Quantum Towers to play at least for normal and 5 for the upgrade)

I do have ideas for other random quanta creatures but may not go down that road too fast as they seem to be a bit OP else the cost is huge.
