probably UP.
The upgrade probably should cost the same or less than the unupped.
Why Life? (I have seen this before as Other, Time and Entropy)

I think he is thinking in terms of Evolution as a  :life aspect rather than a :time aspect.

Also, this is similar to my Upgrade | Downgrade (http://elementscommunity.org/forum/index.php/topic,19903.0.html). However it's a Permanent that has it as an ability so it is probably okay.

That being said, I like your art! Welcome to CI&A!
